Just in town for the GOP circus
08:00 PM on 02/06/2012
In the beginning was the Truth. And the Truth was with the people. And the Republicans saw the truth, and they saw that it was against them. And the spirit of the Republicans spoke, "Let there be Lies." And there were Lies. And the Lies were given domain over American politics.

And the Lies said, "Let us create politicians and strategists in our image." From its own excrement, the Lies formed Richard Nixon. The Lies loved Richard Nixon for he was formed in their image. And the Lies said, "Your offspring will be as numerous as the worms in the ground."

And Richard Nixon begat Lee Atwater. And Lee Atwater begat Newt Gingrich and Larry McCarthy. And Larry McCarthy married the Hypocrite, Karl Rove and they begat Fox News. Fox News married the Psychomite, Roger Ailes and they begat millions of Lying children. And these men did lie and lie and lie about their lies in the sight of the Republicans. And the millions of Lying children rejoiced and said in a loud voice, "We shall overcome... the Truth."

How else are you going to sell policies that brought us to the brink of financial ruin, cost Americans jobs, and risked their retirement? He's gotta go negative and he will. This isn't about how Romney can serve America. It is about how he can serve the 1%.

Dear Governor Romney,

As you know, the House Republicans have worked very hard on good bills that, when presented
to the Senate, Harry Reid kills on the spot. Then, President Obama says the Republicans work
against him and do nothing. Would surely appreciate if you would bring this matter up in your
speeches, in case any citizens are silly enough to believe Obama!

Many thanks,

The President usually complains that House Republicans are not brings good bills to his desk. Because, not matter what the very partisan Republicans want, they should work on bills that have a chance, something bipartisan.

But it's the public who complains that the Republicans create a do nothing Congress. Those are not the President's words.

Harry Reid does not let the House Republicans present some very good material on which they
have worked very hard.

I'm not sure if the President knows this. He should, and, if he does, he should not say that the
Republicans do nothing. Paul Ryan had a really good budget blll that never got past Harry Reid or the President, so we still have no budget over 1000 or so days, a record for Congress.
The Simpson budget was refused, too.

No wonder the citizens give Congress such a dismal rating. A lot is proposed, and nothing
much is done.

Negative will work this year because a positive ad about Obama would be either one nanosecond in length or a silent film.

As if that scares the Obama administration...lol. What McCarthy got away with back then won't happen this time so sorry HPAOL...not scaring off any voters here. What's McCarthy going to do or say? President Obama has had everything thrown at him but the kitchen sink..only thing McCarthy can do is give people a lower opinion of the Republicans than they already have...

The main difference between Santorum, Bachman, and the others who were told by God to run - Romney gets his commands in a note written on gold tablets and read to him from behind the curtain - Is this how he came up with the "hire a political vampire"?

Thank goodness that even GOP-TP voters are now wise to the last minute vicious lies from compaigns and can see who really has their back (President Obama) and who wants to continue borrowing from China and handing it to large corporations (with billions of $$$ in the bank - but still NO HIRING).

Lots f GOP-TP voters are waking up and will pinch their nose and vote Democrat across the ballot in order to produce fair taxes on the rich - they know that is the ONLY way it will ever happen. Democrats are not that great, but they are not as bad as GOP-TPs who pray for the economy (YOUR job and house) to tank - while keeping their own job and house. They should all follow Gingrich's lead and resign in disgrace. They ARE a disgrace to the voters who elected them (but will not elect them again).

Manipulating money does not make the country strong. And that's all Romney had done at Bain through paying themselves crazy dividends, loans, & bankruptcy (stiffing small businesses). Romney may have called for 20 to 50 bankruptcies.

Mitt Romney is everything the Republican Party stands for wealthy and can buy who ever or whatever they want, when in doubt on any issue you throw money at it as long as there is a return in in. Greed means wealth and poverty has no room in there lives, they aren't worried about jobs for Americans they worry more about the bottom line and whether there can be a great deal of profit in it that is why you aren't hearing any candidate stopping the flow of American jobs going overseas, it is cheap labor and no regulations why should they care if the harm the foreign workers........

Karl Rove supports Mitt. If that doesn't scream morally corrupt, nothing does.

Being a governor DOES not make one a outsider.. Romney will bombard us all with nothing but negative ads, one after another, in the hopes of winning in November. ALL we will hear from this guy is Obama bashing, and fear ads. Stump speeches and "his message" should be what he will DO for this country, not NEGATIVE crap.

It might mean he is an outsider, because the person that got elected clearly is not the Romney running now. The man changes so much, it may well be that he is an outsider in his own life.

Mitt shows again that winning at all costs works for him. His hired attack dog has shown that he doesn't have a moral center. I hope other media outlets pick up this story and let it spread like wildfire.

Sorry to say money does influence voters, not so much the political junkies, but the average American who doesn't have time for more than going to work and caring for the family, those ads works. They just have to influence a small percentage of voters as most voters vote their party.Even the ones that vote their party will incorporate the negative ads into their daily lives and make even more converts. The Citizens United decision needs to be overturned asap before we're permanently locked into this corporate nightmare government that's taking over our nation .
