CREDO Super PAC Targets Joe Walsh, Other 2012 Tea Party Candidates

Posted: 02/ 6/2012 5:14 pm Updated: 03/27/2012 11:12 am

A new super PAC is on a mission to take down the Tea Party, by targeting Illinios Rep. Joe Walsh and other 2012 candidates it describes as the "most odious members of Congress."

The super PAC is born out of California-based cell phone company CREDO Mobile, which was originally opposed to super PACs before deciding to fight fire with fire and create one of their own.

In addition to Walsh, the group will raise money to defeat Tea Party Reps. Frank Guinta (NH), Sean Duffy (Wis.), Steve King (Iowa), Chip Cravaack (Minn.), Allen West (Fla.), and four other candidates yet to be named.

"We're not supporting any Democratic candidates," said Becky Bond, head of CREDO Super PAC. "That's not what we’re doing. We're working for defeat. ... It's not about whether you agree or disagree with every Democratic candidate on the issues, it's about getting Joe Walsh out of office."

"We're talking about some of the most odious members of Congress. Even for Republicans these guys are low," said CREDO's campaign manager in a statement. "We're going to empower local activists to organize their friends and neighbors to lay out the truth about their representatives in the most basic terms: They are anti-woman. They are anti-science. They are hypocritical, bigoted, and have said and done things that are downright crazy."

A recent poll conducted by the Democratic-leaning group Public Policy Polling suggested that Walsh was vulnerable, trailing his Democratic rivals in Illinois' 8th District with an approval rating of 28 percent.

I just finished watching a video from Credo SuperPAC about the need to take down the
Tea Party 10. It was very compelling, but when it was over a screen of 8 or 9 other video choices appeared on the screen, One was talking about the president being a Muslim, another still claiming his birth certificate is fake, another telling Catholics that it is their spiritual duty to vote for anti-aborrtion-anti-gay candidates. How are those hateful videos cued to show after the Credo one?

So, the Dems won't fight for an open Senate seat, in Texas??? That's why I don't trust the DNC with my money, but chose my own candidates!

Walsh is just one of many 'freshmen' who came into office with one express goal: to ensure that they deny others the freedoms & liberties they themselves get to enjoy....after all, it seems they have deemed themselves 'worthy', while others are merely just 'lazy, spoiled and entitled'. Maybe Newt can give Joe's kids a job cleaning his toilets, so they have a sense of a work 'ethic'...something their dad couldn't teach them.

If incredibly stupid counts as odious, I'd like to nominate John Fleming (R-LA) for one of the four unclaimed spots. You can't make this stuff up.

And so we shall have to do more than register and more than vote; we shall have to create leaders who embody virtues we can respect, who have moral and ethical principles we can applaud with enthusiasm.  ~Martin Luther King, Jr.,

Sorry folks this is one man we cannot applaud!

I'll donate to that Pac. It is good to target those politicians who do not appear to have good, sound mental health!

Loud mouth deadbeat dad. Poster boy for the GOP personal responsibility hypocrisy. Put a lean on his house, take his car, dock his pay and then throw him in jail.
