Many of us take wearing a helmet for granted, but the fact is that they can prevent life-threatening injuries and save us from fatal accidents. The death of former El Cerrito High School student Tyler De Martini this past week while skateboarding without a helmet has sparked controversy over how strictly police should enforce the helmet requirement for minors.
