Trendnet equipment is toast. They will be a pariah. It should be noted that this is an isolated design problem from one manufacturer, and they will soon be out of business.

Nothing is safe and secure with the Internet. The police can't police the streets, how on earth will they be able to secure the web..

There is no expectation of privacy from an unsecured server on the internet. If I don't need to break the password I cannot be held at fault for viewing from a public area. That said trendnet better be well insured because there is a heck of a lawsuit coming there way.

Moral of the story... stay behind your secured firewall.

Not only Trendnet home security cameras can be "hacked", almost all that are connected to the internet can be accessed.

A simple google "inurl:" or "intitle:" search is all that's needed.

For example for all you to try, type this into google: intitle:flexwatch intext:"Copyright by Seyeon TECH Co" to find thousands of Seyeon Tech Co. security cameras. Other security manufacturers work the same way.
