9 Epic Roommate Pranks (VIDEOS)

Living with other people is, for the most part, a huge pain. You have to share TV time, coordinate shower schedules and always end up washing someone else's dirty dishes. That's why it's nice to see people spicing up the fragile roommate dynamic with some epic pranks. Sure, they'll inevitably cause a giant rift in the house and will probably lead to a hostile, malevolent living environment, but then again, we're not the ones who have to live there!

Dude i hate this prank. my older brother tried this one me when i was like 12 while i was in the bathroom connecting to my empty room across the hall, when no else was home. not fun. although it is kinda funny to see two ppl trying at once, i will have to admit.

We did the Yellowbook thing with Anonymous vs Scientology posters to one of the anons. I'll have to see what I've done with the video.

This video series had me soooo missing college... and note, the pranksters--except for the foil caper--were all guys. The lone female participant was likely the girlfriend of one of the pranksters...

What is it about our Y-chromosome, guys, that makes us think pranking, burping, and farting in someone's face so hiiiiiilarious??? Hey, I'm not discouraging this behavior, only wondering....!!!!

Most are so old, yet they were the funniest. Butter floor is just cruel though. I wish I thought of a couple of these in college though, the rope one would have been fun.

Funny, I did my version of the taco to my sister. I grow ghost peppers and I enjoy them a bit so we have taco tues and in a half pound of beef I put in about half a pound of peppers and marinate in. I let her taste it one day and as she was putting it in her mouth I told her it was spicy...never thought she could run so quickly! Told me her throat felt like it had a hole in it for two weeks. Oh the laughter!

When I was in college a girl in our dorm unsuspectingly went away for the weekend. When she returned her entire room was filled with crumpled newspaper, floor to ceiling. Funny for three minutes...

Some of these are just well thought out. However, I dread pranks. Even in their hilarity they can be scary...like being tickled. Cringing and delight mixed in one.

Pranks can backfire.

A friend of mine had his shoulder dislocated when he tried the old jumping out of closet prank on his girlfriend. She had him in a very strong armbar and on the floor before she realized that it was him.

The moral of the story: think your pranks through if the prankee is a hand-to-hand combat instructor.
