Beyonce Baby Timeline: A History Of Her Pregnancy

Celebrity pregnancies always garner a fair amount of attention, but few have endured as many bizarre rumors and wild gossip as Beyonce and Jay-Z's. It didn't help that the couple was so coy about it. On August 28, Beyonce blithely announced she was expecting at the MTV VMAs, uncovering a sizable baby bump that seemed to have manifested out of thin air. (It also spurred 8,868 tweets per second, a Twitter record.)

And then there were the outlandish claims that Beyonce was actually not pregnant, but wearing a prosthetic baby bump, a series of is-she-really queries that reached a fever pitch after the singer's stomach appeared to fold and collapse when she sat down for an interview with Australia's "Sunday Night HD." But if the latter was an elaborate hoax and not a trick of the eye, as tabloids would have us believe, then consider us had: On January 8, Beyonce gave birth to a baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter.

Now that Beyonce's stepped out in her first post-baby appearance -- for hubby Jay-Z's benefit concert at Carnegie Hall, no less -- we point out nearly every single time Beyonce has been spotted out since announcing her pregnancy, and then some.

First let me say that Beyonce is the average typical light skin black woman as far as her race goes. For those of you who don't know, there are sooo many African Americans who have more than African in their blood lines. Beyonce is a good entertainer, how could she not be, she's been doing it her whole life. Creole is not a race but a name to define a certain "mixture" of races such as African, Indian, and French. I have a cousin who's grandmother is white. But if you look at my cousin, you would never be able to tell. So for those who don't know, Beyonce is Black. Who care's if she was pregnant or not and who cares what her baby looks like. I feel that she deserves respect because she does work hard but why are so many people so quick to attribute certain aspects of her performances when she got some of her ideas from other entertainers? She will take something and do it so much that people forget where it came from. There is a formula to entertaining, and I guess she has it. I don't know why so many other performers allowed her to get ahead of the game. Where is their creativity and hard work? God gives gifts to everyone. Just because someone is not an entertainer, does not mean that they don't have gifts as well. I wonder what would have been of her career if Aaliyah hadn't passed away.

Number one, Beyonce is not any more "mixed" then the rest of the many "African Americans" in this country. I don't know why so many black women are so obsessed with this whole thing about Beyonce being mixed with French, etc. Creole is not a race ok, but a name for a mixture of races just like mulatto, mixed, and bi-racial. I have a cousin whose grandmother is white, but you couldn't look at her and tell! I don't know what all of this hype is over Beyonce, I mean, she is a good entertainer, but she takes alot of what she does from other entertainers and then does it so much that people affiliate it with being one of her "moves." Beyonce is a beautiful black woman just like many other beautiful black women who are just as light as her and darker.

Woops! computer got messed up on that last comment. But speaking as a black woman about babies, yes it can happen when the baby has straight hair and fair skin as a 1 month old. Skin darkens and hair gets curly in their 3rd to 6th YEAR. The REAL test is not now folks. The REAL test is 6 years down the line, unfortunately. So, stop looking. If the baby doesn't look like either one of them, OR IF THE BABY LOOKS ONLY LIKE BEYONCE, THEN we have reason to think something is fishy, but for now...The baby is rich, and grandma Tina is absolutely right about the baby not having defining features yet. What do I believe? Personally I would never have sex with Jay-z, and if I decided to marry him, I wouldn't have his kids, so let's put it that way. I think Beyonce was pregnant though and did have the baby, but in all honesty...she's trying toooooo hard to be perfect, and it's backfiring on her. I don't think the baby is Jay-z's but it's definitely hers. We must wait 6 years to see if Jay-z's features come out. It wouldn't be right if the baby had NONE of his features.

oh yeah, and the baby is NOT mixed, and creole does NOT equal "lightskingoodhair"
02:18 PM on 02/12/2012
Thank you !!! I hate that the answer to Blue being light with straight hair is because Bey has a smidge of Creole in her... No that's how all black babies are born. For all we know that beautiful baby could grow up to be Alek Wek's colour.

I so agree with you about her attempt to always appear perfect and it is backfiring on her now.
I disagree that the baby looks like her. I think the baby has Jayz features, I don't see any of Beyonce in the child yet and may never of course that doesn't mean its not hers, I think the child is hers not so sure if she gave birth though.

Very beautiful baby, she is precious just like her mom, to suggest that baby is not her biological baby is ridiculous.
12:25 PM on 02/11/2012
I can't believe people are this evil to suggest that Beyonce had a "surrogate", she is beautiful, she is of mixed heritage, black, creole and french. Although Beyonce wears wigs, her hair IS NOT naturally nappy like so many other african american women, why can't people understand this and quit hating on this very beautiful woman. Do you have to have a white husband and be black as tar to produce a beautiful baby?

Actually, Beyonce has average, Black American hair texture. Her hair does not suggest that she has is anything but black. There is nothing "special" about Beyonce's hair texture, that why she straightens it and WEARS WIGS. If her hair was "nappy", would she be any less beautiful? Halle Berry/Alicia Keys hair is not the texture of most black americans. Look at her sister, Solange's hair. Beyonce hair is the same texture.

has beyonce ever wore her real hair out? I dont think the world may ever know the TRUE texture of her hair is she rerlaxes it because people who get relaxers all have the same texture. DAMAGED. Which is how I can see why she rather wear wigs. Nothing wrong with that. I WISH i could afford the wigs she be wearing. She's a main reason why I wear wigs to this day though I do not perm my hair and its medium length past my shoulders.

Interestingly enough, when Sarah Palin was pregnant with Trig, she got her figure back awful quick too, and there was never a clear picture in which she looked pregnant. Maybe Palin had a surrogate too.

Four Black grandparents, and two black parents don't make a Michael Jackson....
10:35 AM on 02/11/2012
I may be wrong, but I honestly believe they had a surrogate. Reason #1....how do you not know when you are due? Date changed from sometime in December to late January. #2.....Why was it necessary to rent out the entire Neo/Natal floor of the hospital? Possibly to hide the fact that Beyonce was not the person admitted. #3.....No way in hell did she get her figure back in a couple of weeks. It is a known fact that Beyonce NEVER wanted to ravish her body by giving birth. DON'T BELIEVE SHE WAS PREGNANT AND NEVER WILL.

I ain't buying it! Four black grandparents, two black parents and they give birth to Michael Jackson?

Let's be real in all sense of science. Beyonce and her front lace wigs is undoubtedly looks like the rest of Black women, and her light skinned, straight haired baby doesn't add up for the two black people that they are. Who are they kidding? A hoax indeed.

Plenty of Black children are born with very pale skin and straight hair. Skin coloring gets darker for some as kids get older. My brother looked white when he was born and now is as dark as Jay-Z...

The real question is, why lie about a gestational carrier? And is the gestational carrier breast feeding her child? And will the woman carry another one for them?

A lot of white rich women are using gestational carriers because they don't want their bodies ruined by pregnancy, and they admit to it.

Why does she think she needs to lie?

The same way she takes credit for other people's work...

I think you are wrong...that baby looks like BOTH Beyonce and J-Z, many African American babies come out with a head full of straight hair like that ....ESPECIALLY when they have ancestors of french, and white...you know MANY African Americans have blue eyes and light brown eyes and, light complexions also Beyonce is of mixed ancestry....remember Slavery and white masters in the Slave den of black women?

Good grief, enough already. Now there's a ''HISTORY'' of her pregnancy published as if there wasn't a detailed ad nauseum progression of the REAL pregnancy. Whoever is writing these stories....get over it PLEASE. BILLIONS of women have been pregnant....it really isn't that earthshattering that Beyonce was.
07:27 PM on 02/09/2012
don't care what anyone might say, unless she posed on a cover naked like some other celebrities, i shall always believe that she had a surrogate
