Dominique Strauss-Kahn Film To Be Directed By Abel Ferrara: Who Should Play The Roles? (SLIDESHOW)

The Huffington Post   Inae Oh   First Posted: 02/ 7/2012 1:20 pm   Updated: 02/ 7/2012 7:00 pm

The infamous tale of Dominique Strauss-Kahn has already inspired both a French porn flick and a harrowing episode of "Law & Order: SVU." Now it looks like the ex-IMF chief is receiving the Hollywood treatment.

Director Abel Ferrera (Bad Lieutenant and King of New York), Gerard Depardieu, and Isabelle Adjan are reportedly all on board for the behind-the-scenes look into the rape accusation that rocked the international community and ultimately destroyed Strauss-Kahn's presidential ambitions.

Great choices, but we can't help but wonder who we'd like to see acting out the drama on the big screen. From Brian Cox to Bobby Flay, there are a bunch of potential candidates we fear the filmmakers might end up overlooking.

Check out our choices and vote for who you think should play the lead roles:

I say just do the whole think in CGI and get some famous Hanna-Barbara voices to do the acting.

Brian Cox works for me. He has diversified acting chops. I groove on his work.

The film will be a sentimental rendition of a WW II victim raising to the top of the world on intellect and brilliance. Of course, the reality is slightly different: he is a callous opportunits!

Damn, well that just casted itself didn't it. I'd see that movie with those people in it. Brian Cox is one of the best actors around. Screw it, why doesn't he just play every role in the film.

Herman Cain can play the role very well. Of course they'll have to paint him white.

This isn't one of those situations where the actors in a bio-pic would need to look like their equivalents.

Why not? It would lend realism to the production, because lord knows the script is probably going to be abominable

Because nobody really knows what these people look like. So why bother with look-alike casting?

This topic is hardly ''movie worthy''. I wouldn't waste my time or money on it.

Brian Cox looks a lot like DSK, and will do a fine job in the role. But something tells me that in the film, DSK will suddenly have this need to locate Jason Bourne.
