Kristen Wiig On 'Portlandia': Crazed Stalker Kidnaps Fred And Carrie (VIDEO)

Kristen Wiig -- sorry, Oscar nominee Kristen Wiig -- visits "Portlandia" in this week's episode, playing exactly the type of character she naturally would inhabit in the Portlandia universe: A crazed stalker obsessed with Cat Nap, a band comprised of Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein and a kitty.

Wiig's obsession escalates quickly, from a big fan to a gun-toting, hostage taking maniac. Of course, Wiig plays it spectacularly. As she and Armisen are two breakout stars from "SNL," we're glad to finally get her on Lorne Michaels' other comedy show.

Fun fact: Wiig's Oscar nomination, for co-writing the screenplay of "Bridesmaids," earns her the distinction of being the first "Saturday Night Live" cast member to earn a nomination while serving as a cast member. (Of course, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy and a few others were nominated well after their "SNL" stints.)

"Portlandia" airs on IFC on Fridays at 10 p.m. EST (9 p.m. central).

Loved Portlandia on Megaupload until it....went away.....

Unfortunately, no access to IFC on our cable, so have to wait for the box set.

IFC? What is that? I only get the TV channels that broadcast in analog... and that is not one of the zero channels that I get. In fact, I've heard that even people with a hundred channels don't have that one. If this show is by Lorne Michaels who does Saturday Night Live, why couldn't he get it on NBC? NBC used to be one of the few networks that did analog broadcasts, before they discontinued that service. OK, I do get one channel, the static channel, and luckily, I can get it at any channel number I want, which is cool. ... Just kidding, I have basic cable, about 80 channels, and IFC isn't one of them. If IFC wants people to watch it, they have to become part of basic cable. That's what all the channels people actually WATCH do. For instance, take the example of Keith Olbermann... he used to be on MSNBC, which I get on basic cable and can watch, but now he's on Current TV, which, similar to IFC, is not on cable unless you get the super mega deluxe premium combo package with ovar 9000 channels in pure digital 1080p HD, with surround sound audio and 3D picture, on demand so you never miss your favorite shows, bundled with Internet and phone service for a low introductory rate of only $999 a month, we call it the 999 plan.
