Ron Paul Gets Excited During Speech After Second Place Finish In Minnesota Caucus (VIDEO)

Ron Paul Speech Colorado

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Ron Paul is emphasizing his ability to collect GOP delegates as the presidential nominating contest continues.

Speaking from a campaign rally in Minnesota on Tuesday, Paul says he's pleased with his showing in recent caucus contests.

Paul settled into his stump speech, at one point giving off an excited "yeah!" while extolling his delegate strategy.

(Video of Paul's "yeah" above)

Paul is sitting in second place behind former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum in Minnesota. The Texas congressman says he will continue to compete and collect delegates to the Republican convention. He says that's the best way to promote his campaign's message.

Paul is not attacking his fellow Republican candidates by name. But he says he's the only candidate that will offer real cuts to the federal budget and is the true conservative in the race.

Now what - more of the same...

These so-called "progressives" are truly coming unhinged. They can't face that their "progressive" stances have been turned inside out in recent years. That's why they h8 Paul - he holds up the mirror to their "progressive" fantasies about themselves and they deny and project that the one holding the mirror is the one to blame, instead of themselves. Truly repugnant to any civilized being.

Paul defended the comments in his newsletters in 1996.Paul told the Houston Chronicle that his comments on Blacks in his 1992 newsletters should be viewed in the context of "current events and statistical reports of the time."
Houston Chronicle 5/23/96
It wasn't until 2001 that Paul told Texas Monthly that the newsletters weren't written by him.
I find Paul's different explanations very disturbing.

Ron Paul admitted to and took credit for the disturbing comments in his 1992 newsletters during interviews with the Dallas Morning News and the Houston Chronicle in 1996.Paul said in those interviews that he had written those disparaging remarks about minorities but that they had been taken out of context. Now Paul denies writing the comments. Was Paul being truthful then or now?

If you are not disappointed in Obama and looking for a way to send him a clear message, then you are going to reinforce his behavior and most other politicians.

Obama said all the things that we wanted to hear when we voted him in.He was going to have the most transparent government and he was going to undo all the Bush/Cheney damage to this country.

Then he got elected. He either did not change the Bush/Cheney/Neocon agenda or he allowed it to accelerate.

To vote for him is to tell him and all the other Inside the Beltway types that they can say whatever the voters want to hear then do what you want when elected. Cheney actually stated this - say whatever you must then do what you want. Voters and American people be damned.

You must send them all a message or voting simply becomes irrelevant.

You Paulites are going to have to face reality.Ron Paul will not win the Republican nomination and if he runs third party he will guarantee President Obama's re-election.Either way,Ron Paul will never be President and I thank the Gods for that.

Facing reality is beyond their ability.  They choose to live in a fantasy world believing that Paul will be POTUS and that he can actually accomplish the things he claims.. patently ridiculous on the face of it.  In 22 years of living off the government he so despises he was only able to get one piece of legislation passed... an abysmal record by any reckoning.  If by some miracle he were elected he's be sitting alone the Oval Office wondering why (even after 22 years of being shunned by the Ds and Rs) no one will work with him......

I agree serialcoma.
Some of the Paulites comments are jaw dropping.I find myself just shaking my head at their hyperbole and their attempts to rationalize away Paul's voting history and racist remarks. They seem to think Ron Paul will be like some king or guru that just waves his hand and changes the world overnight.Ron Paul has been in government for over 30 years and he's been ineffective as a Congressman and would be even more useless as President.Of course we don't have to worry about that, because Paul will never be President.

No one is trying to change your mind on who you would elect. You spew rhetoric about a candidate on a thread about him. Educate yourself on what is going on around you or go to a thread that is about your candidate. Everyone here has backed up what you have tried to say and you won't even look up what is out there.

Voting for anyone but RON PAUL I know will be a wasted vote and you all will be back here whining about whatever clown gets in the white house. Ron Paul scares the corruption corporations because he can't be bought, Think people we might not get another chance to be free we might be voting for a police state NDAA gives our government to much power and Obama is power hungry at this time what kind of life do you want for your kids? I want freedom and they can take that Police state BS and shove it.

No voting for RON PAUL is the smart vote.

1 stopping the insane wars in the middle east and on drugs
2 Looking at what the FED is really doing
3 Cutting a trillion of our national debt
4 Cutting red tape which will stop corruption
5 Paying back to SS/Mediacare the money stolen
6 Pardon a non violent drug offenders in prison
7 Making our boarders safe
8 Stop policing the world and creating blowback to the USA
9 Stop being the worlds ATM
10 Bringing programs to the state making more jobs for those who live there.

Ron Paul 2012 the logical choice we need right now!!!

Dear Serial,

Voting for somebody that lies to you is a wasted vote, voting for somebody that find banks 25B on one hand while giving them 7.7T on another hand is a wasted vote.

Voting for Mr Paul is the only vote that is not wasted as it sends a message to the lobbyist that have had enough of them.

We voted for Mr Perot, and the economy got better as they knew we were done with them, do it again and the parties will get scared and fix stuff.

Ron Paul is the only one talking about stopping all the insane wars and bringing our troops back home to protect this country. He is the one person I have ever heard wanting to stop the US from being the Worlds ATM. He actually has a platform on his site which explains how he wants to cut a trillion dollars off out national debt. He also wants the FED to explain itself. He wants to replace the money stolen from SS + Medicare.
As the other canidates talk the same old lies wanting us to think it is new and will work we are to buy into this like they are just car salemen, After Obama signed the NDAA into Law the game has changed people our government is out of control and if we don't say stop who will stop them? I really feel RON PAUL can unite america and get her back on track. Don't listen to the smear campaigns check his site out for yourself and see he makes sense.I rather work with RON PAUL for four years and see this country come back to the greatness it once was then to lose this oppourtunity because some people have no faith, no common sense, no desire to pull up the boot straps and get to work on this mess.

It would be easier to 'give him credit' if he owned up to the racist comments posted under his name and confessed a mistake, or change of heart. Forgiveness and healing begin when one accepts responsibility, admits wrong, and asks consideration. Not by peddling some lame excuse: I didn't know.... Ask, and you shall receive, don't ask ...?
01:51 AM on 02/09/2012
Let's say you owned a TV station and someone that had a show on your station made a racist remark during one of their shows. Would it be fair then to call you a racist? After all it is your TV station with your name on it and you make money from it - you must be a racist! Don't you find it odd that no one ever shows the actual newsletters? I wonder why that is.. Claiming Ron Paul is a racist is so absurd he's non reactive about it.. if it were true he might seem worried about it and feel that he needs to explain some BS story like all the liars in Washington typically do in similar situations, but it's not true and it distracts from the real issues so he doesn't waste a lot of time worrying about it.. search youtube for "Ron Paul the compassion" and have a debate with the man that tells his story of Ron Paul treating his wife when no one else would and taking care of the hospital bill as well..
04:47 PM on 02/10/2012
Dear Joe,

He did say it was mistake, said he is should have monitored it better.

Paul said on CNN Wednesday. "I didn't write them. I disavow them. That's it."

I find RON PAULS platform refreshing and not the same old BS we are hearing from the others, He has a platform easy to figure out and stuck with it not changing it during this race. It makes sense. The other canidates offer nothing but the same game with a new name which will either take us down another four years or destroy this nation. And your name calling puns shows you would not comprehend much with such a closed mind.

Ron Paul has been one of the only voices in congress that actually fights for the people and has for over 30 years.. follow the money.. who supports their campaigns? opensecrets.org what favors do they give their campaign donors? how do they vote and who benefits from the policies that they support? Ron Paul's top 3 donors are US Army, US Navy, and US Air Force and the American people benefit from the policies he supports.. he doesn't bail out big bankers, vote for the Patriot Act, or borrow money (your children's future) from China to further the agenda and boost profits for the military industrial complex/big banker cabal.. he has done more to fight corruption in Washington than all the rest of them combined..
