What about liqueurs like: Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Kahlua and Amaretto.

A mixed drink based on these would be nice too. With dark chocolate a good Bourbon or even a Añejo Tequila goes really nicely, as does spiced rum.

A good port or sherry isn't bad with chocolate either.

What doesn't go good with chocolate? As Ann Landers once said: "I'd eat a dish rag if it was dipped in chocolate"!

best drink with a chocolate dessert? milk....not likely to impress a date though.
