It seemed to me as though the concept was being too glorified. I find it incredibly sad when couples split up after dedicating many decades of life together.

Besides rare exceptions, the main reason older women initiate divorce is the same reason older men initiate divorce: she will not have sex (with him).

The main reason older women initiate divorce is that they are sick and tired of taking care of their husbands. Men in this age bracket tend to have "MOTHER" relationships with their wives. What woman enjoys sex with a man who still requires his MOMMY to take care of him? Rather incestuous don't you think? YUCK! The Baby Boomer women have come to their senses.

Unfortunatley that is such a simplistic answer. Many good women and men whom have been manrried for 17, 20, 25 years have spouses with extemely dealdy life threatening diseases whom become someone different after their near death experiences. Your silly and simplistic answer is flimsy at best. There many more reasons than "having great sex" that ruin a marriage. An affair or one night stand at a convention will satisfy the physical need beyond what can take down a long time marriage. the union that is created over many years takes much more than no "sex" to pull apart. Silly you! Anyone else out there? Am I wrong?
