Joe Biden Touts America's Economic Resilience

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Vice President Joe Biden says he's convinced America is better positioned than other nations to continue to lead the world's economy – whether or not his boss is still in charge.

Biden touted the resiliency of the U.S. economy on Thursday during remarks to the Ohio Newspaper Association.

He said the economy will continue to provide Americans with decent jobs for years to come whether or not he and President Barack Obama are in office. And he said he's convinced that people are regaining confidence about the country's ability to lead economically.

Biden said he believed that in the year 2020 or 2030, the U.S. would be "the single most vibrant economy in the world," adding that is in the world's interest that it is.

Why?

All Republicans from John Boehner to Ron Paul predicted that the Fed's QE2 would lead to rampant inflation. Well one year later, inflation was just a mere 2.4% -- the target set by the Fed. You have to go all the way back to the 70's to find a higher inflation rate.

Just like the WingNut comments on this story, they are all politically motivated statements.

With unemployment above 8% for three years, no one in their right mind could argue for rampant inflation.

Even the WingNut Wiz kid Paul Ryan warned of rapid inflation with QE2. They are all clueless and not worthy of the trust of the people of this country.

So guess what? VP Biden's predictions are just as good if not better than any.

Biden's alternate reality - So China's just going to disappear? India? Russia? Brazil? No manufacturing base - US is a post industrial nation - The only way forward is to blaze new trails e.g., develop alternate sources of energy at little cost to consumers.
