Paul McCartney Performs Songs From His New Album On ITunes

Paul McCartney is celebrating the release this week of his new album, "Kisses On The Bottom," by performing through a free iTunes live-stream on February 9 at 7pm PST. The album features a collection of standards from his childhood and two original songs.

In addition, McCartney will be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Of course, McCartney doesn't need glitz on the sidewalk to prove his star power: The music icon has been nominated for a Grammy this year and has been invited to perform at the Grammy Awards, which takes place February 12th. McCartney is also being recognized as the 2012 MusiCares Person of the Year on February 10th.

McCartney's fall was just as busy as his winter, with the 69-year-old marrying his girlfriend Nancy Shevell. Leaving behind his messy divorce from Heather Mills, McCartney wed his third bride in October at the Old Marylebone Town Hall. According to CBS' Celebrity Circuit:

The couple's wedding date and venue both had significance -- they married on what would have been John Lennon's 71st birthday, in the same town hall where McCartney married his first wife, the late Linda McCartney, in 1969.

But tying the knot wasn't the only thing that McCartney was up to in late 2011. Like a true Renaissance man, he worked his artistic, writing and travel muscles too. First, McCartney teamed up with his fashion designer daughter Stella McCartney for the ballet "Ocean Kingdom," which premiered at Lincoln Center in September. McCartney composed the ballet, while his daughter designed the costumes.

In October, McCartney -- a vegetarian -- released a cookbook that he co-authored: "The Meat Free Monday Cookbook." And November sent McCartney packing for his "On the Run" tour through Europe and the U.K.

So if you feel like you're seeing Paul McCartney everywhere you turn, you're probably right. He isn't showing any signs of slowing down, either. McCartney is already slated to perform at Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee this June in London along with Elton John and Tom Jones, among others.
