Shailene Woodley Poses Topless For Vs. Magazine (PHOTOS)

According to George Clooney, "The Descendants" breakout star Shailene Woodley is well on her way to becoming Hollywood royalty. And what Clooney says, goes.

"I want to adopt Shailene [Woodley]," joked Clooney to The Insider. "Because she's 20 and smart, and I figure she has a big career ahead and can support me. So, I'm looking to adopt very successful people."

So what's the next logical step for any Clooney-endorsed starlet who's at the tipping point of making it big? Posing nude for a fashion magazine. That's exactly what Woodley did -- to an extent -- for Vs. magazine's latest issue, on newsstands later this week. The "Secret Life of the American Teenager" actress went topless for the sultry shoot, her back facing the camera.

But Woodley's inclusion in the mag -- Julianne Moore, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Elizabeth Olsen, Helena Christensen and Erin Wasson also earned top billing for the multi-cover issue -- wasn't caused by Clooney's cooing. Drew Barrymore was the guest director behind Woodley's fashion editorial and specifically chose the up-and-comer, whom she photographed for the cover, as her muse.

Aw, young Shailene, 20 and on the brink of BIG, convinced this is a good move for her burgeoning career...to get all lacquered and flounced up like a weary-looking 35 year old Vegas lounge singer and pose for a fashion rag...

Really? She's 20, fresh-faced and smart as a whip. Why does she need this cliched routine to solidify her stardom? She doesn't. It's just what they do.....sigh.

Why not just walk around topless.
You really get sick of hearing about how men gloat at women and make them feel like a piece of meat. What is she doing?

The photo is very pretty. However, I see hundreds of regular everyday women on a daily basis (in the office, on the street, driving cars, dining in restaurants, etc.) who would look just as good or better with the same hairstylist, makeup artist, photographer, and Photoshop technician. She doesn't wake up looking like that, doesn't look like that in real life, nor do any other celebrities. They're just normal-looking people with entourages of hair stylists and makeup artists. It's too bad that young girls don't realize this and aren't taught this by parents and other adults around them. They are left to feel, in their not-yet-developed brains, inferior.

If you want to start a controversy, how about today's TMZ website showing ice-t's wife COCO, the porn star, posing completely nude in bed with a child that is not hers? If that was the childs uncle, or anyone else other then his mom, they would be arrested immediately. Talking about exploiting a toddler.
