I'm not a huge Smallville fan but neither am I fan of what DC has done to Superman in the "New 52". I think DC is trying to turn him in to Batman "lite" with this reboot. I was in college (my slip is showing) when the first Crisis hit but I embraced the change and was ready to do the same with the current reboot.

However, the current management lost me with their abysmal behavior at San Diego Comic Con. Mr. DiDio saw fit to belittle those not wholeheartedly behind the reboot. He allowed the crowd to boo questioners instead of controlling bullies and showing compassion to those who had reservations.

Mr. DiDio and Mr Lee also misrepresented the Lois & Clark marriage timeline in interviews. They wrongly attributed the marriage to the Lois & Clark TV show, claiming if the TV show wasn't involved the pair would have never married in the comic book. This is historically incorrect as anybody who was reading at the time knows. Publishers of DC should understand their own company history. It is a matter of public record in books and documentaries, including as an extra in the animated DVD Superman : Doomsday, complete with quotes from those involved at the time. I understand the reasoning to go back to square one, but I found the revisionist history disingenuous at best.

I look forward to a Smallville weekly book. Mr Miller is a strong writer and Cat Staggs is a strong artist. Congratulations
