Ellie Kemper Makeup Malfunction: Too Much Powder! (PHOTOS)

We just spotted these pics of "Bridesmaids" star Ellie Kemper arriving at the Late Show on Wednesday in New York, and seeing as how we LOVE Ellie, we feel totally sympathetic regarding her unfortunate makeup flub.

Kemper was sporting a little too much pale face powder on her nose, which became evident under the camera flash as she greeted fans (in a chic all-black outfit). The culprit might be a high-definition finishing powder that doesn't photograph well under bright lights.

It's okay, Ellie, because you have some pretty famous company; Nicole Kidman, Eva Longoria and Ashley Judd have all fallen victim to the powder gaffe.

Why can't we just come out and tell people when they are experiencing a "malfunction" of any kind. Toilet paper dragging behind someone, skirt/dress tucked in underwear - stuff like that. I know I would be grateful (yet embarrassed) if someone would be brave enough to let me know instead of going around being laughed at.

We've ALL had makeup malfunctions. We can't be perfect all the time. The celebraties who happen to have had a bad makeup day or what ever, (and who doesn't) is just fodder for these writers.

Slow news day... Perhaps her perfect skin is the culprit - in front of a dark background (apparently she powders her neck, too, cause it matches). Ever notice how washed out babies look in mom and tot photos using a strobe ?
