Grammy Awards Parties: The Hottest Pre And Post-Show Tickets In Town

Grammy After Parties

First Posted: 02/10/2012 2:50 pm Updated: 02/13/2012 1:09 pm

While the Grammys may look like one big party to us, for celebrities the real revelry starts after the last award winner rushes the stage to thank God and their mother. This weekend is no exception. As country crooners and pop princesses alike wrap up their pre-show juice cleanses in preparation for Sunday's award show, their Blackberrys are presumably blowing up with pre- and post-fete invitations.

So what's up first on the party circuit? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul McCartney will be honored by Tony Bennett, the Foo Fighters and Neil Young at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala Friday evening. Although we doubt this soiree will be a total rager, it's for a good cause -- the event benefits musicians in need.

Fortunately, Friday's tame evening should allow music's A-listers to rest up for Jay-Z's Roc Nation brunch in West Hollywood Saturday, when the likes of Katy Perry, Ryan Seacrest, Rihanna, Rashida Jones and Ludacris will be sipping on mimosas and tapping their toes to a soundtrack by DJ Samantha Ronson.

After the late brunch, partygoers can head to the Roots' jam session at the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard -- we expect that Jimmy Fallon's late-night band will be pumped for their Best Traditional R&B Performance nomination.

From what we can tell, the hottest Grammy after-party will take place at one of the steamiest pads on the block -- the Playboy mansion. The "Fame at the Mansion" party, hosted by Diddy, includes a fashion show that may best the ensembles of guests, who've been warned that the black-tie dress code will be strictly enforced.

So which party will go down in Grammy history? We'll just have to wait until the photos come rolling in Monday morning.

Diddy, Rihanna, Chris Brown, rappers and all the rest, take a good, long look at what has happened to our pop princess and recognize if you do not take care of your health, your talented butt will be six feet under. Drinking too much, drugs, wild late nights - there is a price to pay and we do not want to lose another one of you. Etta James, Don Cornelius, Whitney Houston....who's next? Don't let it be you kid.

All of a sudden, everybody in the industry's favorite "connections" are readjusting their plans for tomorrow's post awards parties... And some peeps are going to be stuck holding onto a bigger stash than they were prepared for.

Awe, but who am I kidding?...Once the drinks have properly marinated, some bumps will float around and the 'usual suspects' will justify their indulgent with the, "Whitney would want us to party" justification.

So sad.

WOww this news is insane to try and process.Whitney was in works to do a new movie called SPARKLE with Jordan Sparks and a sequel to Waiting to Exhale. This is so tragic and an un necessary death of a beautiful human being.A voice that would make the hair on your neck stand on end .You will forever be missed Whitney and I sincerely pray to God that you didn't suffer.GOD BLESS YOU WHITNEY, R.I.P

Whitney Houston is dead...and just like that: the party is over. Hopefully some of those pre-Grammy celebrants can see this tragedy for the cautionary tale it is. Be mindful of your talent and cherish it, remember that we all come with an expiration date, and try not to speed up the process by abusing your body. If you do so, you will lose everything: your looks, your talent, your money, and, eventually, your life. Namaste.

Now that Whitney has died, I really doubt Grammy Parties are going to be any fun this year.
