Hilary Duff's Dog Lola Is 'Doing Well' After Brain Surgery

Hilary Duff is about to be a first-time mom, but she's has plenty of practice taking care of tiny, adorable creatures. The 25-year-old actress and singer already plays mom to her beloved chihuahua, Lola, and her other pets.

Duff told her Twitter followers on Wednesday that poor Lola had been having "terrible seizures," had a shunt inserted into her skull in order to drain fluid from her brain and is now "doing great."

That must be a huge relief for Duff. According to People, she was spotted crying outside a veterinary clinic where Lola was being treated in December. At the time, she told her Twitter followers, "Could everyone please say a prayer for my pup Lola, she has surgery in a half hour! She's a strong girl but needs all good energy sent her way."

On Thursday, Duff also updated everyone on the status of her pregnancy, writing: "Early morning dr appointment. Baby's looking perfect! So it's a great day..except for my ribs..which get a good solid kick every half hour!"
