Wow, now we got to worry about Fido going on a blind rampage. Do you think a dog can shoot a gun ? Imaging a chi-wa-wa .....trying to bit your legs off....oh, my god.

Maybe just call Cesar Milan...that's more sensible. Alternatives to mental medication first.

Great, now Fido will have a high risk of suicide by the time he is 2 (14) probably drowning himself in the family pool, that drug is not fit for human consumption, so let's try on the animal population and keep the lawsuits down, and the profits up, geeat logic.

I am a dog behaviorist. This is a very sad trend. Dogs sit home day after day after day with little or no exercise. That is the most important thing you can give a dog. That and then being a "leader" a dog will trust to follow. Than you can set limits on unwanted behavior. But first dog are going crazy from lack of exercise. To give a drug like that is a fundamental lack of understanding of a dogs mind.

This is by no means new. I knew a psychiatrist at least 25 years ago that had a dachshund that was obsessively licking her paws. He gave her an appropriate dose of Prozac and the licking stopped.
