www.hollywoodreporter.com:

According to an analysis of the latest contribution figures conducted by the Center for Responsive Politics at the request of The Hollywood Reporter, the president's re-election campaign collected just under $1.2 million from the entertainment industry last year, which is less than half as much as the $2.8 million he raised during the same period in 2008.

$2.8 million is only enough for a couple of ad runs. 90% of his money comes from small donations of under $250. Hollywood was visible, but their pockets are shallow, like their attention span. Anybody who thought the mess left by the last admin was going to get cleaned up in one term was nuts.

That small donations figure was a lie created to hide, how much money Obama was getting from big donors.
09:06 PM on 02/20/2012
You mean in the same way the Republicans hid money.

liberal hollywood is a myth -- they amassed zillions during the Bush years of no taxes for rich people and they want to keep it. Bloomberg went Republican, as did many of the people of his culture. Greed is good. Yay.

there is acting and then there is acting and some are just better at it, and some who see through it.

If you think any politician gives a crap about you, dream on.

Ok, He already has over a billion dollars inhis reelection fund. Why does he need anymore and what's going to happen to what's left after the campaign?
More family vacations??

Another headline that pretty much exaggerates the contents of the story. But hey, going negative on Obama seems to make HuffPo just another part of that "fair and balanced" media.

I am not interested in personal attacks. A lot of people are disappointed that most of the President's plans have been thwarted by Congress. The health care plan ended up being watered down and no bold moves were made after the financial crisis.

Obama not being paid off by Hollywood?

Now if we can just get Republicans not to get bought off by big pharma, big oil and the health insurance lobby....
