Adele Vogue Cover Has Finally Come True (PHOTO)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 02/12/2012 9:55 am Updated: 02/12/2012 9:55 am

Just as we suspected: Adele is Vogue's March 2012 cover girl!

After rumors floated through Women's Wear Daily and across the web for over a month, the cover everyone's been waiting for has arrived. Spotted on Fashin, the coveted March cover features Adele with strong, liquid-lined eyes and voluminous hair, leaning towards the camera with a healthy dose of cleavage on display.

The "Rolling In The Deep" singer previously graced the covers of Vogue UK and Cosmopolitan, but Vogue is the real deal.

Particularly after dealing with Karl Lagerfeld's blithely insensitive comments regarding her appearance earlier this week, Adele's selection by Anna Wintour and her stylish ilk affirms the crooner's place in the exclusive fashion crowd.

In other words: In your face, Karl.

Except they took 40lbs or 50lbs off her. Wow. Sad. Photoshop fail.

nice to see someone that can fill a bra on the cover of vogue for once. shame they felt the need to photoshop her within an inch of her natural face.

She is a beautiful woman. It is sad to see her natural beauty so altered.

with enough shadows and photoshop anyone can have cheekbones. wow they took like 75 lbs off her. it doesnt help when there's non-touched-up photos right at the bottom of the article.

Let's hear it for Adele; and I am very impressed that Anna
Wintour & Vogue (one and the same, eh?) finally put Karl Lagerfeld in
his place with this polite kiss-off for his poor verbal gaffe regarding her
altogether. I believe his days are past, not Adele's and he is a bully of
anything larger that size 2.

You go girl - (and Karl can leave the runway, period!).

You know what's bothering me? Almost every cover Adele is on is from the chest up or (mostly) the neck up. Before when people commented on this I thought they were just complaining bitterly like they alway do on HuffPo. Now it's kind of obvious. I think most of Vogue's cover's are closer up like Adele's but this is annoying. Show her whole body everybody already knows what she looks like it's not a secret!

We will pay the price, but will not count the cost

I'm thinking that she must be the largest person ever to be on the cover of Vogue. I know they photoshop everyone, no surprise there, but I kind of wish they hadn't gone so far and left her a little more as she is.

BTW Anna Wintour seriously needs a new do.

Don't fool yourself. Real woman? She's sold over 10 million records and she has a beautiful face. How many women (or men) can claim that?

Let's see an average-looking and non-famous woman on the cover of Vogue. Then we can talk "real woman"...

i'm talking about her physique.... i mean how many women are size 0 like models on the cover of the magazine?? besides, talking from your point of view, non-famous people won't make it to the cover of ANY magazine.

Every time I see an interview with Adele, she reminds me of Boy George.

Is Anyone Else Having Trouble With The Become A Fan Button Working? I haven't Been Able To Fan Anyone For The Last Two Days At Least.

Yes; it's a well known issue. HP's owner is living high off the ad dollars and doesn't care to hire the staff to figure out our piddly fan button issues.

Hmmm.. okay , I wish they would fix it though. It's one of the few ways to let someone here know you appreciate their insight and knowledge , or perhaps their humor. Anyway , thank you kcinpa , you are fanned .. in theory ;)
