Elle Style Awards 2012: A Very Strange Red Carpet (PHOTOS)
The stars seemed determined to make winter cower into submission as they arrived at Monday night's Elle Style Awards in shades of yellow and pink, some bustling with floral prints, others with ... vegetable prints?
All in all, we're kind of confused by this red carpet.
Christina Hendricks did a 180 from her all-black Vivienne Westwood BAFTAs dress in a high-necked bright purple Carolina Herrera floral frock, while Rosie Huntington-Whiteley went full-on mullet dress in an angelic look from Antonio Berardi.
Florence Welch looked very Florence-y in an Erdem Spring 2012 dress and Nicholas Kirkwood heels. But it got weirder: Alexa Chung donned a strange menswear suit, and are those... chili peppers on Pixie Geldof's Dolce & Gabbana sheath?
Christina Ricci went all black and Gillian Anderson opted for bright yellow.
And then there was the crowning moment: leggy model Tali Lennox arrived in a sheer Julien Macdonald gown that revealed her backside when she spun around.
We give up.
