The saddest and most ironic part of this story is that the french won't even recognize that they wouldn't spray harmful pesticides if they used gmo technology.

Oh well, people are hopeless.

Great news! Too bad we'll never see a ruling against Monsanto in the US.

We also need to end the monopoly of corporations owning products such as seeds like Monsanto. There is no reason they should have been able to sue farmers that did not sign agreements with them. Either by animal or weather Monsanto seed would contaminate neighbor’s seed. Farmers are then forced to buy seed every year, instead of being able to clean seed from current crop and planting it the following year. Across the world, new seed laws are being introduced which enforce compulsory registration of seeds, thus making it impossible for small farmers to grow their own diversity, and forcing them into dependency on giant seed corporations. Corporations are also patenting climate resilient seeds evolved by farmers, thus robbing farmers of using their own seeds and knowledge for climate adaptation. The past twenty years have seen a very rapid erosion of seed diversity and seed sovereignty, and the concentration of the control over seeds by a very small number of giant corporations. As a farmer's seed supply is eroded, and farmers become dependent on patented GMO seed, the result is debt. Why is it people don’t complain when they pay $500.00 for phone made by Apple, but if prices rise in supermarket they all cry farmers are getting rich? If production does go down we have options do we need to grow tobacco instead of a food product, we also still have some land in set aside programs, greenhouses on building roofs, people could plant gardens.

this article is about Lasso. Lasso has absolutely nothing to do with GMOs or saving seeds unless you consider the fact if GMOs are banned sales of Lasso will skyrocket up. Lasso is an alternative to Roundup.

The prolem with France is that they have not developed a market system for the purchase of elected and appointed officials as refined and finely-honed as we have. The bio-agra manufacturers need to learn how to Lasso the rulemakers. (Horrible pun intended.)

The pesticide industry has denied any connection to cancer and other disease for decades.

The tobacco companies denied smoking caused cancer for decades.

Sooner or later the people win over greed.
