'Spartacus: Vengeance': Did Crixus Sacrifice Himself For Naevia?

Having grieved for his dead love Naevia, Crixus discovered on "Spartacus: Vengeance" (Fri., 10 p.m. EST on Starz) that she was in fact still alive, but had been consigned to slavery in the mines.

So Crixus and Spartacus' band of escaped gladiators launched a rescue mission, going down into the dreaded mines to liberate her.

Having found her he rejoiced, but the lovers' reunion was short-lived, as the escaping slaves were ambushed by Ashur and a detachment of Glaber's soldiers.

Handing Naevia to Spartacus, Crixus said "I will give them pause," and prepared to take on the soldiers on his own. As he fought hand-to-hand with them Spartacus bundled Naevia out of harm's way, locking the door behind them.

The last she saw of Crixus was his apparent death at the hands of the treacherous Ashur. But was he really dead?

Find out in the next episode of "Spartacus: Vengeance," which airs Fridays at 10 p.m. EST on Starz.
