The Civil Wars And Taylor Swift: 'Safe And Sound' Music Video Premieres!

FIRST LOOK: Taylor Swift's 'Safe And Sound' Music Video!

Today was another big day in Hunger Games fan world: Taylor Swift finally released her music video for "Safe and Sound," her new song with The Civil Wars that will be featured on the official Hunger Games movie soundtrack. We love the delicate, eerie, and disconcerting feel to the video, which is very fitting for the soft and airy song, and it's even more fitting to the tone of The Hunger Games, a story that is, let's face it, pretty terrifying at its core. We also love how stripped away Taylor Swift's look is, with her minimal makeup, her hair loosely undone, her bare feet, and her simple white dress.

We weren't surprised to hear that, according to MTV.com, the video was filmed in a graveyard, and the destructive images around Taylor -- dead trees and burned wood -- seem to be a nod to those dark themes in the movie.

But the best part of the video, obviously, is when she picks up the Mockingjay pin. We felt chills. We still feel chills. How many days till March 23rd, again?
