Fashion Week Show Review: Tracy Reese Fall 2012 (PHOTOS)

Fashion Week Flash: Tracy Reese Fall 2012 (PHOTOS)

Season after season Tracy Reese amazes us with her ability to deliver collections that invoke both femininty and strength--the Fall 2012 collection was no different.

According to the show notes Reese's aim was "colorful, confident attire for navigating the urban landscape," and boy did she deliver. The high energy show was anchored in saturated hues, luxe texture and Reese's signature feminine appeal.

The bold and beautiful palette of orange, teal, yellow and purple was a perfect reminder that color shouldn't be relegated to warmer months. Reese employed a rich combination of jacquard, leather, wool, silk and a dash of fur to give the collection depth.

Accessories ranged from fun jockey-esque hats, colorblocked heels, edgy sunglasses and several metallic bags that would give life to any ho-hum ensemble.

There are always several outerwear pieces from Reese that top our must-have list. This season the fur collared yellow wrap coat and eye-catching teal topcoat were particularly fetching.

But the real standouts of the collection were the heavily embellished shift dresses--which comes as no surprise since Reese is known and loved for her fanciful frocks. The lovely sequin dresses she offered this season are so fab and versatile you'll wear them both day and night.

In the end, there was lots to love for all the Tracy Reese girls looking to punch up their wardrobes this fall.
