I caution both of you to be careful what you wish for. You are correct in that Santorum is off the wall on social issues, but unlike Romney he's not phony or inauthentic. He scares me a lot more against Obama than Romney does.

This is GREAT news. I would like nothing more than to see Santorum become the republican presidential candidate. So would the President and every Democrat in the country. GO RICKY!!! :>)

Part of me would love to see Santorum as the nominee, because it would unite younger voters, increase turnout considerably by bringing out a lot of stubborn voters who would vote for Obama not because they are thrilled with him, but because Santorum is such a madman, that it could be a landslide.

What is scary however, is that the GOP has moved to a theocracy, and to use their interpretation of religion to try to enforce and fight things that they believe, by banning birth control, same sex marriage and honestly they have have some biblical arguments against these things, but virtually no consitutional arguments against them.
