Parents, teenagers: Start swooning.

Proving that his tough-guy routine is all an act, Justin Bieber gave a 6-year-old girl stricken with cancer the best Valentine's Day of her life. Avalanna Routh spent the day with the mega pop star after he caught wind of her Facebook campaign to meet her idol -- with over 12,000 supporters -- on a WHDH Boston news report. He then retweeted the link to his millions of followers and invited Routh and her family to spend Monday with him in Manhattan.

On their special date, Routh played board games with the "Baby" singer, kissed him on his cheek and was granted what was quite possibly the best gift of all -- getting to mess with Biebs' hair.

"that was one of the best things I have ever done. she was AWESOME. Feeling really inspired right now! #MrsBieber," the 17-year-old later tweeted, following up with a photo of him kissing a clearly ecstatic Routh.

Routh was diagnosed with ATRT, an extremely rare form of brain cancer that affects fewer than 30 people per year. According to her mother, Aileen Routh, she has been fighting the disease for five and a half years.

Aww! His Twitter Hashtag is 'Mrs Bieber'! That's so sweet! I've never been a fan, but what Justin did for this precious little child is so selfless, so caring. I've heard of celebs visiting sick children of course, but I don't believe I have heard of many if any who have spent the whole day with a child just playing and having a wonderful time together. I've never actually listened to Justin's music, but I'll now give it a whirl. Either way, he has a new fan in me. As another poster said, I also feel a sense of 'mom pride.' God bless you, Justin and my prayers are surely with beautiful Avalanna!

The more I read about this kid, the more I think that he is a great kid. His grandparents did a great job with him. I hope he always stays as kind as he is.

Not crazy about his music but you, Justin, are a CLASS ACT! And I'm sure little `Mrs Bieber' is still floating on her Valentines Day cloud!

I've never been a fan of his music. People give him a hard time but he's a pretty smart guy and doing pretty well for himself. He's charismatic and now I respect him for taking the time to do this for this little girl. Not a lot of stars would do this. He made this little girl very happy.

Justin's heart is in the right place. It was beautiful to see the smile on Avalanna's face.

This is not about Justin Bieber...who cares his motives or reasoning. But the smile on Avalanna's face makes me glad he's around.

Hate on him all you want for his lack of talent or music style but hate on him as a person and this old grandpa will shout you down!

The giving of ourselves, and our time to another person, is by far the greatest gift in the world. Justin Biever spending the day with Avalanna doesn't get any better. It was a lovely gift, as well as a lovely example to the rest of us that with actually minimal effort, we can make a difference to someone as well..

I usually think parents should wait for their talented kids to mature before trying for stardom. But this kid seems to come from the right place
