So now two of the states that Romney has "won" have refused to count votes in several districts.  Looks like their game plan for the general- count enough votes to get Mitt ahead and then stop counting.  If I were a Ron Paul supporter I think I would see the handwriting on the wall and prepare for a third party run.  It is his only hope.  (Though I think that he is as likely to be  Read More...

Maine caucus goers should be screaming foul! This fraud should dispel all belief that the party can be trusted to run its own primaries. There needs to be 3rd party oversight of the primary process.

It is also proof that electronic voting should never be used. Someone has to count the paper ballots or someone else will pay the voting machine programmers to make their candidates win.

Ron Paul continues to uncover the lies and corruption within the party, the old boy network who are scared to death of the youth, and the freedom movement.

I think we already knew about that. (I know I did)

The question is what is he going to do about it?

sure some know, but i'd say many more do not.
he will continue to spread the news to those who have been duped, and try and educate the people
who are brainwashed by the MSM, and tricked by the parties, and the establishment.
for those who have listened to him without a built in bias paul always educates, and not in a condescending way. most politicians
only spew rhetoric, say one thing and do another. paul inspires people to do better at whatever it is that they do. that is a rare quality.

Republicans cannot control themselves. They are actually cheating against other Republicans in a race that doesn't matter.

Guess they are practicing for 2012.

The Republican party bosses have once again demonstrated their lack of commitment to the democratic process. Their Maine caucus behaviors reveal them to be the cheats and liars that they are.

They want Romney, their yes-man, so they are fixing the primaries so he will "win" the nomination. Forget the will of the people. It is the desired outcome of the few that matters to them.

So much for all those folks who say, "You can't complain if you don't vote." It looks like your vote really doesn't count for much - at least not in Maine.

Why is the Maine Caucus stopped at 84 percent counted?

Because the Republican party bosses are cheating so that Romney will win.

This seems easy to correct. Just count everyones vote. I cant believe they cancelled a caucus because of expected snow. This is maine not florida.

the above YT links to a video PRODUCED and DISTRIBUTED by the Ron Paul campaign:

"Did Maine GOP Blatantly Cheat Ron Paul out of a Victory? "

uploaded by: RonPaul2008dotcom

It LOOKS like a local news program, but it is anything but. And it's not really clear at all that it was produced by RP -- you have to look closely.

Why does RP have to try to fool people? How many of his True Believers were FOOLED?

What video are you talking about? There is no such video in the story and Ron Paul is not trying to fool anyone. In reality he is the only one who hasn't waffled on any of his well-documented positions.

In point of fact, the Republican party bosses postponed a Maine caucus vote until past the date their "rules" allow votes to be counted in a caucus that was known to be strongly pro-Ron Paul. They told the caucuses not to count the votes in public (not the first time they have done this) and the one that did it anyway had their results reported erroneously reported, then pulled.

This is clear election fraud and the people of Maine should be shouting for an independent recount once all votes are in.

Remember Florida in 2000? The wrong guy won - to the detriment of the entire country.

Ron Paul is going to wind up with more delegates that most people think. Rachael Maddow gave a good explanation of what Ron Paul is up to, using the GOP own caucus rules to gain more delegates from each state even though he got the least number of votes. If he keeps it up, Ron Paul might be the GOP presidential nominee despite the fact that he got the least number of votes.

After the caucus votes they then hold a separate meeting at a different location to choose the actual delegates. Most of the other candidates voters leave or don't attend the meeting but "All" the Ron Paul voters stay or make sure they show up at the delegate choosing meeting. Most Ron Paul supporters are getting chosen as the actual delegates and can then go to the convention and vote for who they personally want despite what the actual voters in their state wanted. So even though Mitt may have won by the popular vote, the actual delegates chosen are really Ron Paul supporters and can vote anyway they want at the convention.

It appears that the concept of voter suppression can be bipartisan, if corporate master so choose.

I can't be the only person seeing the irony of a political party, that wants to run the nation, be unable to conduct successful and accurate primaries in the relatively small states of Iowa and Maine?
