Queen Elizabeth II Mooned By Australian Liam Lloyd Warriner (VIDEO)

BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — A Sydney man has been fined 750 Australian dollars ($800) for mooning Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, during a royal visit to Australia.

Barman Liam Lloyd Warriner was sentenced Tuesday in a Brisbane court on a charge of creating a public nuisance for baring his buttocks to the 85-year-old British monarch and her 90-year-old husband in October. Prosecutors had asked for a AU$1,000 fine.

Warriner admitted holding an Australian flag clenched between his bare buttocks and running as the royal couple's motorcade drove past well-wishers. It is not clear whether the royal couple saw Warriner.

Warriner said outside court Tuesday that he'd do the same thing to "any self-important, self-propagating elitist."

Looking pretty good for her age. Certainly defying the age old joke; "I didn't know he was dead, I thought he was British"

The place he was holding the flag is the one place he may spout any sense.

I think folks are missing the most important point: "Warriner admitted holding an Australian flag clenched between his bare buttocks and running..." I can't speak for everyone here, but that's pretty impressive to me and probably why his fine was reduced: Admiration from the bench.

Let's face it, if this is all that happened, which I do not condone at all, then her royal maj got off quite lightly. Some ozzies are well known for their lack of tact and respect for anything other than the pint of XXXX in their grubby mits. The only thing it may do is set a precedent for other nutters every time royalty set foot in the colonies.
