Scott Walker, Obama To Tour Master Lock Factory In Wisconsin Visit

Scott Walker Obama

AP/The Huffington Post   Posted: 02/14/2012 1:41 pm

MADISON, Wis. -- President Barack Obama will try to use his visit to a Milwaukee padlock manufacturer to highlight an improving economy and companies that are creating jobs in the U.S. rather than shipping them overseas.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is meeting Obama at Mitchell International Airport and will accompany him on the visit to Master Lock, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Walker is not expected to make any remarks.

However, the success story of Master Lock--which Obama mentioned in his State of the Union address--hasn't translated across Wisconsin, which has lost private sector jobs in each of the past six months.

Democrats are using that to hammer Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who is being targeted for recall largely because of his proposal that curbed public workers' union rights.

Large protests over that proposal began a year ago Wednesday, the day Obama is visiting.

Walker recently railed against the recall effort at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington. "Lord help us if we fail," he said. "I'm not planning on it, but if we were to fail, I think this sets aside any courageous act in American politics for at least a decade if not a generation."

Master Lock is a good story for Obama. The unionized company has brought back 100 jobs from China.

I heard the real reason shill walker won't be able to accompany Obama on his tour of Masterlock is walker has an appointment to be measured for an orange jumpsuit.

I guess there was no fund raising cash to be had for Walker as he cancels touring the union Masterlock plant with President Obama. He also wants to keep his streak alive for avoiding citizens in our state of Wisconsin.

"Ailing Walker will meet Obama at airport, but skip Master Lock
By Don Walker of the Journal Sentinel

Feb. 15, 2012 8:16 a.m. | Gov. Scott Walker, still recovering from the flu, will greet President Barack Obama at Mitchell International Airport later Wednesday morning, but will not accompany him to Master Lock in Milwaukee's central city."

Jet lag from all of his out-of-state fundraising trips? In his last financial statement 61% of his money came from donors and business interests outside of Wisconsin. I just wonder what that number is up to now. 80%?

Keep Walker away from Obama or he will wag his finger in Obamas face for a picture. They call that "pulling a Brewer".

Ha...the President should call his bluff and "pull his finger" if he does.

I hope our President has reliable witnesses nearby when this idiot approaches him. Hopefully the owner of Master Lock will stay close in case Walker tries to open his mouth.

If Walker sticks him finger in BO's face, the Secret Service will jump Medieval on his butt.

billbb posted this link in his excellent comment below. It got me thinking about the reasons for Scott Fitzgerald's many errors in fact-checking recall petitions. I've made a Top Ten list.

http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/govt-and-politics/politiscope/madison-politiscope-fitzgerald-campaign-submits-bizarre-inaccurate-signature-challenges/article_12a10bee-5696-11e1-8491-0019bb2963f4.html

The work was outsourced to India.
Scott Walker's GOP shadow government can't read in the dark.
Scott Fitzgerald's mood stabilizers wore off - again.
The work was done by the WIGOP cramthru crew.
Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus pushed the wrong button on her computer.
GOP lawyers get paid extra for do-overs.
Someone pulled a Priebus.
Fitzgerald refused to hire union workers to do the job.
Volunteers mistakenly thought they were told to look for waistfood and a booze.
Fitzgerald family motto: it is better to look right than to be right.

I am certain Scott Walker will make the same types of errors as he and his people shift through petitions for his recall. With the GOP brain trust operating at peak performance, this is the best they can do. I hope Walker doesn't do something really silly when he meets POTUS like asking him if he'd like to watch submarine races at Milwaukee's lakefront.

We have to see a lot more of that. Real success will come from bringing more and more jobs back to Americans. I realize the down side to all this will be that the corporations and 1%er's getting less profits from cheap labor plus not having to worry about providing healthcare insurance and job safety regulations. Thankfully, unions help to monitor workplace conditions here in the USA which these corporate bosses hate. Bringing the jobs back will help to make the economy become healthy again for us 99%er's.

So glad to see Nuppup out there, spewing his vile for our entertainment. Where's his lover-in-the-closet, WI Patriot? The two of them in tandem are always good for tons of laughs and, with this article, I'm sure WI Patriot can't resist throwing out his little pointless platitudes.

Sayeth the czar, Scott Walker, "If we were to fail, I think this sets aside any courageous act in American politics for at least a decade if not a generation."

This statement, of course, refers to the recall. If we fail, Wisconsin is dead.

Of course, here in Waukesha County, we have our wonderful vote counter, so I'm pulling for the rest of the state to come through. I know my Waukesha will, but the rest of the county is redder than red and have that vote counter in place, so...
