Sherri Shepherd Meltdown: 'View' Host Loses It When Her Husband Surprises Her For Valentine's Day (VIDEO)

Sherri Shepherd had a bit of a breakdown on Tuesday's "View" when her husband surprised her for Valentine's Day.

It all began when a mischievous Whoopi Goldberg asked Sherri if her husband, Lamar Sally, was doing anything for her on the big day. Sherri, who married Sally in August, said that he wasn't, but insisted that this wasn't "that big of a deal." Then, all of a sudden, the lights dimmed and music started playing. Sherri immediately--and we mean immediately, like the second the lights dimmed--lost it, sobbing uncontrollably as her husband emerged with a big bunch of red roses, singing "My Girl" to her.

She couldn't stop crying even as the song ended. "I didn't expect you to give me anything!" she told Sally.

awww, her reaction brought tears to MY eyes. no matter what you think of her, you've gotta be moved by the genuine emotion she felt. she must have missed out on a lot of valentines days, so this must have been overwhelmingly shocking and special.

one of the things i hate about the view is sherri's constant talking about herself, her husband and her kid. i change the channel as soon as she starts.

How adorable!! I'm not a big fan of Sherry, but I'm a fan of romance!! Joy Behar is a newlywed, too. I wonder what she was thinking.

My husband got out of the Valetine's Day dog house this year, finally! The effort he made, however small, meant so much to me.

lamar obviously didn't listen to Ron Wright. I avoid the view, but when I've been in a position where I have no choice (my mother-in-law has alzheimers and I spend 2 hrs a day with her and if the view is on, I'm stuck with it) I can feel my IQ dropping every time sherri opens her mouth.

I really am conflicted as to who is the most ridiculous clown on that show. I honestly think the collective I.G would be somewhere in the high double digits and that they have set back the womens movement by 200 years.

Seriously - Barbara Walters should have her head examined. Yes it's sweet that this woman has emotions so close to the surface - a good quality indeed - but that doesn't make up for the enormous amount of sheer stupidity that she spews on a daily basis. This is a woman who isn't sure if the world is round or flat, yet she gets to sit on a television talk show next to a world famous journalist. Something is really wrong when stupidity gets equal time with intelligence. Shows like this say, "it's ok to be an idiot".
