World's Longest Kiss: Gay Couple Breaks Record With 50 Hour Valentine's Day Smooch (VIDEO)

Gay Couple Steal World's Longest Kiss

There's nothing more romantic than embracing your loved one on Valentine's Day. But for seven Thai couples entering a kissathon in Pattaya beach in southeastern Thailand on Sunday, it was more of a face off than a bout of romance.

Nontawat Jaroengsornsinpose and Thanakorn Sittiamthong beat the previous world record holders, whose kiss lasted 46 hours, 24 minutes and nine seconds, according to the Telegraph.

And the prize for the two-day smooch? A $3,300 diamond wedding ring and a $6,600 hotel voucher, notes ITN.

The rules were certainly not for the faint hearted. Couples had to be touching each other at all times and to stay within a one meter square box, explains MSNBC.

If that's not enough, a referee even had to accompany them to the bathroom to ensure they embraced one another while relieving themselves.
