Xi Jinping, China Vice President, On U.S. Visit

Xi Jinping Us Visit

02/14/12 11:50 AM ET  AP

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama says good ties between with United States and China are essential, and help the rest of the world.

Obama and China's next leader are getting their first chance to size up the other Tuesday. Obama welcomed Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping (She JIN'-ping) in the Oval Office. He says he's looking forward to future cooperation.

The warm smiles and handshakes mask sharp policy divisions over Syria, Iran and economic issues. Obama aides say those quarrels will be on the table for Xi's visit, along with longstanding U.S. concerns about Chinese human rights practices.

Xi was also seeing top U.S. national security leaders, including Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.

President Obama is counting on Beijing to loan more and more US dollars back to the US government so that the US government can pay for our wars, social programs, environmental cleanups, infrastructure improvements, and various economic stimulus packages by buying our freshly printed paper U.S. bonds (at hopefully close to present worth or not too much of a discount) with the US dollars and other US currency that China earned from the USA population by manufacturing the things that the USA citizens imported and then consumed.

There are many words to describe President Obama, but weak is not one of them. He's extremely diplomatic, integrity driven, intellectual, knows the facts and has concrete solutions, a loving husband and father, but weak he isn't. All those low-level congress members know. People tend to think having integrity is a weakness, I assure you it isn't.

I don't think people really grasp what actions China might be motivated to take because of their population pressure. If China does not increase the standard of living for their people, it will bring down the government and cause chaos in China. Increase standard of living in China means increase demand of the world resources. Either way this will have great implications for everyone.

I have no idea how this will shake out.. but shake it will.

This is a disaster that you Americans can not even understand. I am Chinese and grew up with these people. This was not a time for red carpet but for strong deplomacy. The Chinese know Obama is weak. They are users. Your blogs are fools too,.

Obama is a fool. Xi Jiping is a communist that I have delt with when a child. Obama does not have the brains to understand the Chinese mind when it comes to the Global World. They will be first and Obama will be the dog that ran with his tail behind his ears.

China has started from scratch to having attained the level of being able to launch and recover its Shenzhou Spaceship, an incredibly rapid development with no precedence in history. China's scientific and technical level will surely reach the foremost front of the world advanced science level by the year 2030 or 2040.

China is stepping up research of particle accelerator on its own, according to reports from the ongoing 2nd Asia Accelerator Conference. It is said that the Institute of High Energy Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences is making an active effort in design and research of positive-negative electron impinging machine in Beijing, and hopes for a 100-fold increase in the brightness of the machine compared to the best current machines in the world.

The US government elected to cease construction of the US Super Collider at Waxahachie, Texas a few decades ago, but decided to spend many times that amount to bail out various Wall Street financial Master Criminals.

As China increases their Nuclear Research, China might soon surpass the USA in Nuclear and other advanced scientific technologies and their nuclear weapons delivery capabilities.

China is using their hard earned and newly created wealth to accelerate their scientific capabilities, including their nuclear weapons and their rocket delivery systems.

The Chinese now have had the Rocket Guidance technology (purchased from Hughes Aircraft in the 1990's in return for a political campaign contribution via Chinagate bagman Johnny Chung) for intercontinental ballistic targeting anywhere in the USA.

I hope the president and Biden get some balls and tell the Chinese to buck up( and I don't mean manipulate their currency!) Believe it or not, but they need us more than we need them, we've made them, why do think they wear wall street suits instead of the clothing of their country, like the sheiks.
It's because they want to be us and if they cannot be us, which they can't, then they will attempt to buy us, which they can, if we allow it! We are in the position to dictate terms, contrary to what most people think!
We could create hyper inflation in China overnight, if we so wished! We accuse them of currency manipulation, but we are the masters!

Perhaps, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton can bring with her to China, Jeremy Lin, the Harvard economics honors graduate with a grade of A plus, the student who used to sleep in his brother's living room couch, the New York Knicks dunk who took off a Social Media storm. The Chinese Website has already reached 1 million hits and 1.8 million quips. The Chinese youth would certainly want to watch him play basketball, and see how tall he has become.

The Chinese leaders have always laughed at Obama behind his back. And sometimes right to his face. The Chinese own us and Obama knows it. So do the Chinese.

The Chinese leader urged Obama to move back from the far left to the centre and accept free markets and the importance of capitlaism and creating jobs.

Obama listened but seemed to disagree with Xi saying... "jobs, people need welfare not jobs, jobs are for suckers".

Xi replied ok so how much do you want to borrow Barrack?

30 years ago we would have said the same thing about Taiwan, Japan, and Mexico. The reality is that throughout history, merchants have gone to where the opportunities are, and opportunties come and go. Just as oth mexico and Japan are now memories of the past, so will soon be China. It is an easy formula; the sooner these growing economies reach local middle class status, the sooner these merchants will abandon them. It is history. China is about 80% there.

Well China is different because it is not politically controlled by the US

US should stop borrowing money from China. A nation of this size should be self-sufficient.
Government spending has to be cut for the future generations and should not go to bankruptcy because of certain political party and its agenda.

The Chinese owners of US businesses in the USA will probably have the only currency with any buying power to pay the unemployed and hungry US citizens to do whatever they want the US citizens to do for them after the US government deficit spending destroys the buying power of the US Dollar.

China could hire ex-US military personnel to keep the US population under control, or to regain control after a time of civil unrest or revolution.

Fixing the economy RIGHT NOW might prevent a future revolution.

Mao said that "Political power only comes out of the barrel of a gun!"

I think that Mao was only partially correct because a strong economy is also necessary to arm, feed, support, house, pay and otherwise maintain a strong military.

The soldiers need to be happy, or they might overthrow whatever government might be in power.

China now has the strong economy and is rapidly building their military technology and military might that could surpass military capability of the USA in the future.

If the USA decides to pirate (steal or nationalize) all foreign owned property, ala Mexico in the 1960's, Venezuela. Etc. how will China react?
