Fugitive Richard Vincent Runs Out Of Gas, Calls Sheriff For Help

A 59-year-old fugitive is back behind bars after he ran out of gas in Wyoming and called the local sheriff's office for roadside assistance.

EVANSTON, Wyo. -- A 59-year-old fugitive is back behind bars after he ran out of gas in Wyoming and called the local sheriff's office for roadside assistance.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol said Tuesday that Richard Vincent of Prineville, Ore., was wanted in Georgia for violating parole on a murder and escape conviction.

Vincent called the Uinta (YOO'-ihn-tah) County Sheriff's Office sent state troopers to help him out. When they learned that Vincent had an outstanding felony warrant from Atlanta, he was taken into custody.

Vincent is now being held for Georgia authorities pending extradition.

He called the police knowing he was wanted for felony accounts in another state. I dont think this guy is the brightest light nor the sharpest tool in the shed.

Cops pulling up behind you in traffic may run your plates if they're bored or you just look odd to them. Your car can be a souped up hot rod type or a piece of dung. No surprise they would run this guy's name, since he called the state police for assistance. I'm wondering if that was his only option-----but I've never used a call box on the E-way.
