Iran Oil Export Halt

First Posted: 02/15/2012 8:14 am Updated: 02/16/2012 12:09 am

TEHRAN, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Iran's Oil Ministry denied state media reports on the Islamic state stopping its crude exports to six European countries on Wednesday.

"We deny this report ... If such a decision is made, it will be announced by Iran's Supreme National Security Council," a spokesman for the ministry told Reuters.

Iran's English language Press TV had earlier said Tehran has stopped exporting oil to France, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Netherlands and Spain. (Created by Parisa Hafezi; Editing by Anthony Barker)

Our good old war mongers will do anything (lie, like Bush/Cheney) to have their war for oil.

The Iranian trump card, if attacked, is . . . is. . . releasing all their nuclear technology secrets via the Internet so that any nation can use, and modify, the data to build their own reactors. Oh, and the data would include accumulated data on how to build a bomb as well as the latest data on missile delivery systems.
Iran knows scientists in other countries will take the data, improve upon it, and throw the world into worldwide and unstoppable proliferation. America, the West, Israel, China know this and ponder.
Meanwhile, economically, there is the Greek experiment. This is a nasty experiment by those who run the world's finances -- the so-called 1% who, in the US, are called the Chicago School of Economics -- to see how much absolute control they can strip from a democracy before the people revolt and retake control.
The Greek experiment is a template for things to come worldwide.

I don't know which Chicago School of Economics you are talking about. Of course Obamanics and Obamacare does not work.
But Economists from the University of Chicago went to Chile a few decades ago and set up a retirement and medical account for people working there. It is still working and better than our Government run Social Security and Medicare.

I wish I could be fed up with oil, but I can't. Either way get off of this old fossil fuel and move on to better things.

Well one says yes, the other says no. Whos to believe in this age of so much misinformation. But Iran is spiteing itself. Who doesnt need the money? But they will get by with China and India. Tight, but they will get by. They have a legal right to nuke power. If attacked, ala shock and awe, well, Iran has the right to defend itself. Including lobing a nuke into NYC. Then USA would wipe out Iran, however Russia and China might step in and say whoa. U pre empt them, then say foul? This all might trigger world wide nuke exchanges. Who knows, but we live under a old china curse. Living in intresting times.

not really . . but the failure to support ANY attempt to become less dependent on ME oil is another chance for your children to suffer for it . . . .

But then I guess since you sold the wheels you aren't planning on moving anyway and have no need for a solution . . . .

Bush was the darling of the Middle East...all that kissing and handholding....and visiting each other in their homes.

And, Bush took out Iraq for them...He's a hero in their eyes.

So what? They are not the only group so if they sell more to India and China then other countries sell more to the EU!

Lots of hot air signifying NOTHING! You know like the Republicans!

Buy the oil from Libya!
09:58 AM on 02/15/2012
So Europe joins the sanctions and agrees not to buy Iran's oil, then Iran claims they've cut them off...seems Iran has taken a page out of the gop playbook!
