CNN's Robert Zimmerman: Defending 'Your Credentials To Sarah Palin' Is Like Defending 'Your Sense Of Character To Snooki And Nicki Minaj'

WATCH: CNN Contributor Compares Sarah Palin To Snooki

Contributor Robert Zimmerman made quite the comparison during his appearance on CNN Thursday morning.

In a conversation regarding GOP candidate Mitt Romney's appeal to voters, a panel of CNN contributors responded to Sarah Palin's recent comment that she still doubts Romney's true conservatism.

CNN contributor Will Cain responded by stating that he was not going to "award Sarah Palin high priestess of defining conservatism." Fellow CNN contributor Robert Zimmerman echoed Cain's sentiment but said that, according to him, there was an even bigger issue to address.

"Having to defend your credentials to Sarah Palin—that's like having to defend your sense of character and style to Snooki and Nicki Minaj, and defending your sense of history to Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann." Robertson was referring to reality TV star, Snooki, who once encouraged Regis Philbin to strip during an appearance on "Live! With Regis and Kelly."

This is not the first time Palin has been compared to Snooki. In January, MSNBC regular Donny Deutsch compared Palin to the reality star on "Morning Joe."
