Rivera Beach Police arrested Latasha N. Hutchins on Tuesday for hitting her cousin with her car in an argument over Facebook, reports the Palm Beach Post.
According to the probable cause affidavit obtained by the Post, Hutchins told police her cousin got mad at her for things she posted about his mother on Facebook. She said her cousin threw a brick at her, but ultimately denied hitting him with her car.
Activity on Facebook can often trigger violence in the real world.
In January, incendiary Facebook comments caused a woman in Wisconsin to track down a pregnant teen and kick her in the belly.
Last December, a Texas woman stabbed her then-boyfriend in the lip after arguing over a Facebook posting. When the woman waved a knife in his face, the boyfriend said, "Just do it." She then cut him on the lip.
A social media dispute ended fatally for one New York woman. After a woman found out that the money she lent for diapers and baby formula was used for other things, she fought with the woman via Facebook messages.
Within a day of the last Facebook message, one woman was found fatally stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife in the other woman's apartment.
