Rihanna On Chris Brown 'Birthday Cake' Remix: Controversy Plagued R&B Singer Reportedly Added To Song

Say it ain't so.

After the producers of Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix promised a "shocking" addition to the track, and Miss Info is now reporting that the controversial addition is ... Chris Brown.

According to its producers, the song will be released this week.

While the news will come as good news to "Team Breezy" fans (Brown has nearly eight million followers on Twitter), many will be shocked to hear that the 24-year-old Barbadian singer would so publicly welcome Brown back into her life and career. Of course, rumors have long been swirling that Rihanna had already forgiven Brown, who viciously punched and bit her as she pleaded for mercy in a 2009 incident.

Brown has enraged his critics by acting in a manner that appears to show little remorse. Most recently, the R&B star and 2012 Grammy award winner tweeted that his detractors could "hate all [they] want" because he "has a Grammy now" (in typical Brown fashion, he later deleted the tweet). ("RIP Chris Brown" later trended on Twitter, but it seems the star's career is hardly over).

Brown also lost his temper on the set of "Good Morning America," breaking a window and storming off the stage. (It should be noted that Kanye West has often received criticism as harsh as that which greets Brown for asking Matt Lauer not to play the clip of his interruption of Taylor Swift's award acceptance speech, and West never assaulted anyone).

The Grammys themselves drew a great deal of criticism for their open-armed embrace of Brown, who not only won an award but performed twice at the award show.

Many critics bristled at what appeared to be an extreme effort on the part of the producers to highlight Brown and his music. The New Yorker's Sasha Frere-Jones said his win was "one of the Grammys' weirdest choices ever," given that more standout artists like Drake were largely ignored. On a more ethical level, Valerie Strauss wrote in The Washington Post that the "second chance" Brown and his supporters default to need not include global attention: "That doesn't mean they deserve a chance to strut around the Grammy stage a few years after being convicted of felony assault."

The AP quoted Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich as telling CBS he was "rooting" for Brown.

TMZ had previously reported that Brown was at Rihanna's birthday party and asked other guests to sign confidentiality agreements.

What do you think of Rihanna's alleged decision to let Brown on the track?

Like someone else said earlier, God can forgive us for ANY sin that we commit no matter how many times we've sinned and yet we as human beings past judgement, still, on a person who has received and completed his punishment by law and has also been forgiven by his victim. None of us are without fault, or sin and we probably never will be. So keep that in mind whenever your true judgement day comes. Do you want God to say to you what you say about Chris Brown. And to the person quoting statistics, we all are not the same. Just because a person makes mistakes, and some are worse than others, doesn't mean that they will do it again. I am a true testament of that.

Brown was driving a vehicle with Robyn F. as the front passenger on an unknown street in Los Angeles. Robyn F. picked up Brown’s cellular phone and observed a three-page text message from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.
A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.
Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.’s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.

Chris Brown was in the music business when this happened and that is why it garnered so much attention in the first place. His career did not stop it was only placed on pause. The reality of the situation is if Rhianna has moved on, why is anyone else stuck in judgement mode?

Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I’m going to beat the sh– out of you when we get home! You wait and see!'
The detective said “Robyn F.†then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.
Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I’m on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.' After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I’m really going to kill you!'
Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.
Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.
Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.

He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.’s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.
She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown’s body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.
Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.’s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order.

And that made you feel better sharing that? Wonder how much Chris and Rhianna, who have gotten over this situation, is going to make sharing their music? Hmm....

As a woman who experienced periods of abuse and returned many times, believing my children never knew what happened behind closed doors, I believe the reality of her situation escapes her.

It took 13 years to find out my son ( my abuser's stepson) was also keeping quiet that he was being abused. I am so sorry and can never take it back. My son and I both now suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts and occasionally the urge to cut ourselves.

The Grammys are not in this except for money and should be ashamed of themselves for the powerful message sent to young girls and boys. I wish they would get sued by Advocates against domestic violence.

my daughter came to me tonight upset that rhianna decided to do a song with chris brown. I explained to her that just as an addict often relaspes several times before getting clean for good so often domestic abuse victims go back to their batterer. I assured her that their reunion will be short lived because DV is a cycle. I only hope that parents of other young girls take the time to tell their daughters the same thing and remind them that DV is serious. Next time he decides to go off on rhianna she may not be lucky enough to forgive and forget as my 19 year old cousin was murdered last month by her exe bf. So i want my daughter to have the courage to walk if a man even looks like hes going to hit her and i will be a broken record to her by reminding her that if a man hits you one time he will hit you again and again ..leave him while you still can. Dont rely on these celebrities to set the example for your kids make sure you are the loudest voice in their ear...

At what point is Chris Brown allowed to move on with his life. Is the idea of forgiveness so foreign to his critics? Its been three years. He has matured from a 19 y.o. kid that made a terrible, stupid mistake. He served his time. His victim forgave him. And yet this is still a story.

Geez people give the poor guy a break. If Rihanna has forgiven him,why can't you do the same, after all Chris assaulted her.Its because she knows him better than all of you and there is two sides to every story.Forgiveness is the way forward and i say big ups to Rihanna. And FYI Chris has a girlfriend and no one said anything about the two of them getting back together. Its all just speculation for now,so until then reserve all the nasty comments. And if she does get back together with him ,its ok coz after all its her life

"fogiveness" is the famous last word of countless victims of domestic abuse who are no longer with us now....this is an issue that concerns us all, and it is very dangerous to take the "it's no one else's business attitude.." it that child (chris brown) assualted a stranger to the extent he did rhinanna he would be in jail still to this day, and we wouldnt be so quick to turn the other check...yes rhinanna forgive, never forget and for the sake of all things holy, don't risk your life by being around this child under the false belief that he has changed...he hasnt and he will hit you again (if he hasnt already)

further more, think about the message you are sending other young women who are in the same situation---5 women a day in this country are murdered by a bf, husband or ex....please take this seriously.

Hey i don't condone what Chris Brown did ,it was wrong. But just because he hit Rihanna it doesn't make him a bad person. And i am well aware of the statics of women abuse in this country but i also believe that people can change. My father used to abuse my mother but he got help. And he hasnt touched my mum in years. And how do you know that Chris hasn't changed? And i am pretty sure God has forgiven him.Why can't you forgive him?You are not a saint either ,and im sure you have done things that you are not proud of.and i am sure if you ever did something bad you would want people to forgive you.
