Taylor Momsen Goes Ladylike In Marchesa Lace Dress (PHOTOS, POLL)

The fashion gods must have heard our cries, as Taylor Momsen has finally cleaned up... well, sort of.

The 18-year-old former "Gossip Girl" star attended the Marchesa fall 2012 show during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, wearing a black lace dress by the brand. A drastic difference from the oversized band T-shirts, garters, thigh-high stockings and extreme extensions we're used to seeing, Taylor paired her much more covered up look with nude pumps and a tousled chignon.

Of course, the Pretty Reckless frontwoman couldn't resist grunging it up a bit by drawing on the heavy eyeliner and stacking on tiny little rings. But we give her kudos for a solid attempt at wearing lace as celebrities such as Madonna and Jessica White weren't as successful in pulling off this runway trend.

She is such a beautiful girl, I wish she would take her gothic style towards this end of the spectrum more often. She looks incredible! Most of the time she looks like a hooker who just robbed Hot Topic.

Just once I saw her on cable in the *actual* video for the song "You" by The Pretty Reckless. I can't find that video online anywhere!

She looked amazing -- almost no goth stuff at all (just the silly raccoon eyes, but even those were toned down).

I've looked everywhere, and there are some unofficial videos for the song, but I would love to see that real version of the video again -- it really is amazing.

Any idea where if it is available anywhere?

I'd really like to see her without the heavy eye makeup. (I never watch Gossip Girl, so don't know if she was this made-up on the show). She looks more toned-down and prettier in this pic than I've ever seen her though. I guess that's a start.

No, Jenny (her character) didn't' have Taylor's fashion style. Well, not to the same extreme levels anyway. She did sometime have the whole dark eye make-up thing going on, as the character got older (and into more trouble).

i think that after all of her gaffes in public, she might be close to learning a lesson to just
shut the piehole and be pretty for the cameras...
wlhen they run low on funds those kids sure do learn to shut up to grow up.
