Bettina Wulff's First Lady Style: A Tribute In The Wake Of Her Husband's Resignation (PHOTOS)

German president Christian Wulff resigned as president of Germany on Friday in the wake of a scandal over rumored favors he received before becoming head of state.

And since we're interested in sartorial matters, we have to note our sadness that this signals the end of our style watch on the German first lady, Bettina Wulff.

In the less than two years her husband's been in office, Bettina's been something of a fashion dream compared to other, stuffier first ladies: flashing her tattoo (!), wearing pink and rocking a variety of swanky shoes.

She also hobnobbed regularly with other leading ladies, including Princess Letizia of Spain, Qatar's Sheikha Mozah, Russia's First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva and Princess Victoria of Sweden.
