Joan Rivers Bashes Jay Leno, Dane Cook On 'Watch What Happens Live' (VIDEO)

Joan Rivers Jay Leno

Joan Rivers stopped by Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" Thursday night to talk red carpet fashion, Whitney Houston, and Betty White -- but things heated up when Jay Leno was mentioned.

Rivers, who has been in a feud with "The Tonight Show" since the early 80s when then-host Johnny Carson blacklisted her for leaving to host a show of her own, is just now breaking back into the late night scene. Hosts like Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman are inviting her onto their programs, but Leno is still holding tight to "Tonight"'s traditional no-Rivers policy.

At this point in her career, Rivers doesn't seem to care whether or not the 24-year feud is ever resolved. "He's not funny, so who gives a sh*t?" she said to Andy Cohen.

The antics didn't stop there, though. Later in the episode, Rivers went on to comment that Dane Cook has never made her laugh. "Somebody explain to me, cause I don't get it. I'm willing to learn, I don't get it."

You can watch even more clips from the interview here.

Joan Rivers is my guillty pleasure. It's not just that she was blackballed by the god of late night tv, johnny carson just because she didn't clear getting her own show with him; or that he and NBC told guests not to appear on her late night show attempt; or that Fox wouldn't respect her vision for the show; or that her husband killed himself when said show failed blaming himself for helping to alienate many important people; or that she picked herself up and supported herself and her daughter despite the huge debt her husband left behind; no, it more because she writes alot of her own jokes, is very talented, truly hard working, and was a pioneer paving the way for many female comedians today. First there was Phyllis Diller, then there was Joan. And Joan, although she sometimes crosses the line in good taste, like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going and going.

Joan Rivers surely can speak her funny mind --- she just cannot seem to save her funny face.

I loved what Peter Griffin said to Dane Cook: "I don't care what everybody else in the world says, I think you're funny".

I love Kathy Griffin, but I just can't stand Joan Rivers. She's just not funny, she's downright mean, picking on people's weight and things like that. Griffin doesn't do things like that, she picks on the things they say and do that deserve to be mocked for the most part. Plus, I really can't even look at her anymore, it's just sad.

People hate her just like hating Kathy Griffin; either you get it or you don't. But I don't see Don Rickles haters much; could it be peeps can't stand a hard hitting female comic?
01:59 PM on 02/19/2012
Could it be that Don Rickles is funny and Joan Rivers is not?

Rickles hasn't been relevant since the 80's. Maybe that's why there's a lack of H8rs.

Agree. At least Phyllis Diller had the brains to stop after a few surgeries. Rivers has had 278 surgeries.
