'Late Show': Joan Rivers Jokes About Goldie Hawn's Plastic Surgery And Betty White Sleeping Her Way To The Top (VIDEO)

First Posted: 02/17/2012 4:51 am Updated: 02/17/2012 10:28 am

Age shall not weary or mellow Joan Rivers. She and "Late Show" (Weeknights, 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS) host David Letterman were discussing the weighty topic of ageism in Hollywood when she took the opportunity to spill some juicy gossip about a couple of industry veterans.

Joking about a subject dear to her heart -- plastic surgery -- Joan said Goldie Hawn has had way too much work done. Allegedly. "She's been pulled so tight, they say, that when she swallows she has an orgasm," Rivers cracked.

Moving on to the topic of sex, Rivers and Letterman agreed that it plays a big part in showbusiness, and Rivers revealed that the casting couch is still an option, even for the more mature ladies.

"Betty White! We know how she came back," joked Rivers. "Suddenly she's back? Come on. Ask backstage! ... She is known in the business as 'Bendover Betty'!"

As he mulled over the gossip, all Letterman could say was "Wow."

"Late Show With David Letterman" airs Weeknights at 11:35 p.m. EST on CBS.

I was watching that show, and finally turned it off. Joan's schtick wasn't funny, and Dave was clearly uncomfortable with it.

How can she talk about someone having too much plastic surgery? I do agree that Goldie Hawn had too much. She shouldn't have done anything because she was aging so well. In her 40s and early 50s she looked so great. But she also dresses the same and wears her hair the same and I think a lot of stars when they get older have a hard time letting go of the image of their youth.

Didn't Joan Rivers have cosmetic surgery on her mouth? Why then does she still motor-mouth the same manic character assassination?

All of her jewelry line is made in china. I have personally been boycotting her products because of that and some of her remarks about others. Some places you just don't go.

I wonder what Joan thinks about sodomy being promoted on some of the other late night talk shows.

WOW! Now I know what HP stands for - - humorless people! Lighten up folks!

When I lived back East, I ran into her all the time at the theater or at charitable events. In "real" life Joan is warm, kind and sweet, and devotes alot of time and resources to charitable work-- all done without fanfare.

It may be her schtick, but it wasn't funny. It came off as desperate.

LOL, talk about getting a face lift so tight you have an orgasm and sleeping to get ahead! Joan should look in the freaking mirror....and she's no much to look at either...

If I were married to Joan Rivers, I would have done, what her husband did, KILL MYSELF. She ugly outside and insides!!!!

Joan rivers shouldn't talk about others having surgery as many face lifts that she's had I'm surprised that she can close her eyes.

I can't stand Joan Rivers. She has never actually been funny and I never saw the attraction.

Joan Rivers thinks she's so funny. She stinks. She always takes snippy remarks about other celebs. She needs to look in the mirror. I don't watch anything she's on.

Joan rivers is the very last person who should ever talk about plastic surgery. Her face is so tight
she could be used as a trampoline

So...who is Joan Rivers to talk about plastic surgery? I heard that she had to have her ears repositioned 3 times from all she's had done. I guess she can say what she wants about Betty White but isn't that some kind of reflection back on her?
