Nicole Richie QVC Collection To Debut Next Week (PHOTOS)

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 02/17/2012 1:44 pm Updated: 02/21/2012 4:58 pm

Back in November, when we first heard Nicole Richie would be teaming up with QVC to make an affordable line of clothes and accessories, we couldn't have been more excited.

Now, after waiting many months, we are on the heels of the Nicole Richie Collection debut, which will air on the Home Shopping Network's "The Buzz on the Red Carpet - Live From L.A." on February 24.

The new line embodies the designer's personal style with maxidresses, kimono jackets, flowy printed shirts and hobo bags — all which range from $75 to $257 in price.

Richie told Women's Wear Daily she wanted to bring new looks to QVC with items such as the maxidresses:

"It was important for me to do a version [of a maxidress] for QVC because it can be worn so many ways. I paid close attention to the seams to give a woman a nice shape, because a lot of maxidresses can feel tent-y."

She also said that she hopes to use her collection to connect with a diverse group of women:

“I want to connect with the women watching by letting them know that we are similar in many ways; I’m a mother of two and I work. We all want to feel relaxed on the inside but stylish on the outside. And that’s what I’m trying to provide.”

This will be Richie's fourth clothing line; she has the famed House of Harlow 1960 accessory line, high-end clothing line Winter Kate, and a maternity line in her arsenal.

Richie will be joining a long list of celebs who also have paired up with QVC including: Joan Rivers, Wendy Williams and her former stylist Rachel Zoe.

Christie Brinkley is still delicious. Is delicious a sexist term? I DON'T CARE!

Since she in now safely away from what's her name, her talent is coming out. Best of luck to her!

I admire Nicole. The best project she has ever had was getting away from Paris Hilton.

This is her fourth clothing line. Guess the other three didn't do so hot.

Did anyone say the others no longer existed?

No.  They did not.

Because as far as I know this is an ADDITIONAL line, not a replacement for failed lines.  Her business is growing.

Always remember and never forget that she drove the WRONG WAY on the Ventura Freeway while stoned, and never apologized or did any jail time. LOSER.

Enough already. These celebrities, or should I say relatives of celebrities have no more fashion sense than you or I. They've just always had the money (because of their relatives) to buy the trendy clothes that they wanted. They're not designers, they're no better at fashion than anyone else. You don't need to follow their fashion sense, just trust your own. It usually works out better that way and you'll save a few bucks.

Four clothing lines - three of which have succeeded - only did so because her daddy is rich.

Yep - that's reasonable reasoning.

My statement is not that her clothing lines have sold because of Lionel Richie's money. You need to re-read it.
