Rick Santorum Endorsed By Anti-Abortion Group Susan B. Anthony List

Santorum Backed By Susan B Anthony

BOISE, Idaho -- The anti-abortion Susan B. Anthony List plans to endorse Rick Santorum for president.

The group is announcing Friday it will back the former Pennsylvania senator over Mitt Romney and the other Republican hopefuls. It's the first time the group has endorsed in a presidential primary.

Jane Abraham, an anti-abortion activist in Michigan and chairman of the group's board, says none of the other candidates has the "record of consistent leadership" Santorum has shown on abortion.

Romney has struggled to win over social conservatives nervous about his previous support for abortion rights. Last year, Romney refused to sign the Susan B. Anthony List's anti-abortion pledge, saying it was too broad.

The group plans to organize activists, particularly in Michigan, before the state's Feb. 28 primary.

In other news, the sky is blue.

Looks like Romney might actually have a shot with the non-misogynist CONS.

And also with the non-children hating LIBS.
05:46 PM on 02/19/2012
Libs don't hate children CONS do. As is displayed in the policies introduced and advocated by the CONS. Your congressional record betrays your true ideology. Anti-child, anti-life, anti-women and pro-rape. The truth does hurt doesn't it?

This is awesome! I love the momentum Santorum is getting and these endorsements from intelligent policital groups is exciting to me as a Santorum voter. When people really research the issues and go below the Anti-Woman claims some extremists are making in hopes to throw people off doing their own research, you find Santorum is a conservative who cares about women and children and families and all the things this country was built on.

He's received no endorsement from any intelligent political groups, he does seem to be racking up the ignorant ones though.

When people actually research the issues they realize that Susan B. Anthony is rolling over in her grave at what carnage is being wrought in her name. The research shows that Sanctorum SBAL and the anti-choice extremists don't really understand the facts and that apart from their fringe extremism they don't possess an iota of caring about women, children, or families. The research also shows that as ignorant as this faction is on the science, they also failed history and have no idea about the beliefs of the founders.

Rick Santorum 'nabs'...endorsement. NABS. Sounds dirty...crooked...sounds like something STolen. Nice word smithing. You will never hear of Barack Obama nabbing anything. He gets ...blessings...the nod...thumbs up...getting admiration...the go ahead...getting the Charleston Heston staff as he stands before the Red Sea...

You're talking Sanctorum and the Susan B. Anthony list, it's hard to make those two terms anything but what they are, dirty, crooked and nasty.
05:31 PM on 02/19/2012
Yes, the Susan B. Anthony list is known for being "crooked." For some, "crooked" involves illegal activity. For Synergie, "crooked" = "anyone who disagrees with me on any issue."

Extremists of a feather flock together! Keep fighting the future! It's coming no matter what you do and ties up your time a resources on a lost cause so you can't do any real harm on other issues!
05:28 PM on 02/19/2012
You are so correct. The antichoicers can squawk all they want, but women in this country will continue to choose lots and lots of condomless sex and lots and lots of abortions.

Your ignorance and hatred towards woman is positively astounding.

Santorum thinks that a woman, after being raped, should be denied the morning after pill at the hospital and "make the best of a bad situation" if she becomes pregnant. The cruelty of this man is astounding.
04:35 PM on 02/17/2012
Especially when you consider the exceptions he's already made for himself and his family.
08:01 PM on 02/17/2012
If Santorum's wife were raped, I promise you there would be a discreet little trip to a private clinic for a wee "rest."

Yes, you can guarantee that as you can read into someone's heart.

Hypocrite much?

what a sad day for women rights. If you ladies want to change that, this guy who has absolutely no regards for the rights of women in this country then you need to go out and and vote and put this guy where he belongs back to the stone age
07:37 PM on 02/19/2012
It's rather doubtful that the stone age would wish to lay claim to him.

Conservatives have very little to say concerning the sanctity of other people's lives. They only back this topic because they feel it brings them closer to (being) God.

The next step in the Catholic Church of ped o philia seizing control of a government that supports their parasitic existence (the federal government provides 62% of all funding to Catholic Charities) and legislating their own theology. However, do not expect them to contribute a dime toward the cost of their legislation.
