Be careful for the Al-Qaeda member that you put in Libya and Syria, America. For they might one day turn their bombs and guns against you.

McCain/Levin, and throw in Lindsey Graham, are the authors of 1031 of the NDAA which is now known as the indefinite detention act. Who do we trust? Those who sacrifice american citizens' rights to due process in the name of a world wide war on "terror"? We can be assured that the lobbyists representing the defense industry wholly back McCain and his McCarthy-esque paranoia that would have even the most basic rights to trial by jury stripped from americans living in their own homes if they are "suspected" of aiding any form of terrorist organizations. Suspected. If we were suspected of committing murder this ideology would allow the government to disappear you to GITMO without a lawyer, without formal charges, and without release. Let's agree with McCain when he says that supplying arms to Syria and sending $1.3B per year to Egypt are absolutely necessary to continuing his way of life and the friends who so fervently support him - the military-industrial complex.

Who picked up the tab for these guys to go to Egypt?

We the tax payers.

As much as i disagree with Ron Paul, theres one thing hes right about, we cant be the world police. Sen. McCain and Graham, when is enough enough? They have been fighting in the middle east for centuries and they will continue to fight after all of us are gone. Stop waisting our resources.
08:02 PM on 02/20/2012
Now is the time to determine if the things you agree with outweigh the things you take issue with. There is no perfect candidate. But if we elect our next president for social issues, or economic issues, or for foreign policy issues, we must decide which is the immediate need. Paul's ideology is to decrease the majority ownership of citizens lives by the government and allow us to not be corralled by them. When Graham said on CNN that he was entirely satisfied in sending Egypt $1.3B per year of the taxpayers money, and he said that even though we are broke that he thinks it is a good expenditure, do we agree? Paul can help us sort this out. The rest are committed to war and in continuing our world domination. It will cost our children and our grandchildren their future and the price will not be paid for freedom, but will only serve to enrich the pockets of the military-industrial complex. General Atomics and Raytheon agree with McCain, do we?

Java im a realist and i know Dr. Paul cant be a nominee for either major party. but what he can do by running a independent bid for the presidency, is force the major parties to adjust their stances on foreign policy.

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Dum advised Bush and his failed wars. Now they want to see if they can do the same for one of the more successful foreign policy Presidents in memory.
I hope the President offers them some bayonets and send them on a charge into Syria, personally.

how many times do mccain/graham/lieberman have to be wrong before they're no longer the 'go to' guys for military analysis?
01:27 PM on 02/20/2012
This sounds great, and while we are at it, let's bomb Iran and North Korea( by the way, I thought North Korea was going to attack Hawaii a few Memorial days ago) yeah, right after this president came into office
05:15 PM on 02/20/2012
Armchair general, please pick up your boots, strap up and do the bombing by yourself. North Korea would gladly shoot a nuclear bomb up your a**. Maybe then reality will step into your brain.

Obama is very proficient at dropping predators ordinance on top of people. When is Obama going to arm the drones flying overhead?
01:30 PM on 02/20/2012
Only if it involves killing US citizens (who were never formally charged and who were denied due process guaranteed by the Constitution for all US citizens).).

Oh sure, arm the Syrian rebels, Republicons say. If Obama arms the Syrian rebels the Republicons will immediately reverse their positions and start whining about arming jihadists, wasting money, etc.

"I think it's premature to make a decision to arm the opposition movement in Syria, because I would challenge anyone to clearly identify for me the opposition movement in Syria at this point," Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Sunday on CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS.", according to CNN.

So a guy like General Dempsey, with access to first class intel, can't get a clear ID on the Syrian opposition, but some American Senators are ready to arm them? The question would be, do the Senators have better information than the military, or are they just following the directions of special interests?
02:52 PM on 02/20/2012
And you believe him? If there is anybody that thinks Israel, the US, France and Britain aren't already arming the rebels, then that person is clearly NOT alive.
08:07 PM on 02/20/2012
The reason to arm them is that McCain's handlers, General Atomics and Raytheon, would make a hefty profit. Follow the money, it rarely leads to a constitutional motive.

Hey old man, we "armed" the taliban against the russian army. How did that work out for you?

Why is it the older these fossils get, the more they want war?

Cause they don't have to fight and their campaign donors make money profiteering on war.

kind of reminds me of when the people were protesting in egypt and these 2 repug clowns called for obama to help them, then after he did with the french, then they complained and were outraged that obama did this.

I saw a member of the diplomatic service on TV the other day and he was saying that unlike Libya, the rebels are not separated where they can be fed arms, hor are there other friendly bordering nations we can access to get arms to them. The rebels aren't separated from the military, so you can't bomb. Your options are quite limited.

Lindsey Graham said he wants a permanent US military base in the Middle East, and McCain is also itching for a war with Iran. Until people like these are removed from power the world will remain an extremely dangerous place for our children.
