Odd Future's 'Rella': Centaurs, Lasers And Booty Popping, Oh My (NSFW)

Odd Future, a hip-hop collective that includes Tyler the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis and Left Brain, have a new album dropping March 20 The OF Tape Vol. 2. The group's new video features its members rolling through fields and suburbs as they shoot lasers, turn people into cats, go wild in the backseat of a car, snort massive piles of mysterious white powder, and endure some serious booty shaking. And yes, there is a man-taur.

No one seems to understand Odd Future...they do things to the extreme. Whereas rap culture talks about things that are seen as sketchy or controversial, OF takes it to the next level and makes it so extremely controversial it just makes you speechless. Not only do they poke fun at pop culture, but also things they find funny. Let loose and don't take everything so serious, life is much funner that way.

I don't care what anyone says, Rella is catchy as hell and the boys of Odd Future are doing something a lot of us misunderstand. I personally can't wait for OF Vol. 2 that's coming out on the 20th of this month!

You forgot to mention that this video also includes a man slapping a woman whose face breifly leaves the frame. When she stands up and we see her face again, she has miraculously changed into an Asian woman, who, from the smile on her face, enjoys being slapped.

Oh, and there was the rapper shooting black, chunky goo out of his crotch at a group of women (shown not once, but twice) and the women reacting as if they were being spattered with mud. The only thing that confuses me is if this is offensive to women, self loathing from a black perspective or, possibly, both.

I know. Don't take it too seriously. It's just a rap video. It doesn't mean anything. People won't think it is cool. (Will they?)
