Smuggled Goods At LAX: Customs And Border Protection Seizes The Strangest Items (VIDEO)

Guns, drugs and your face wash aren't the only things confiscated daily at LAX. The airport regularly seizes food and sometimes specialty items such as pig placenta, deer antlers and bird nests that may contain disease, CBS reports.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, which use a "beagle brigade" to help sniff out the goods, explained that some of the food items, like kiwis, are innocently brought on without knowledge of breaking the law. Others, however, like a package of meat concealed with a "mushrooms" label, could bring swine flu or mad cow disease to this country, while items like deer antlers are delicacies in parts of Asia but banned in this country.
