Colbert Slams Pelosi Over Anti-Super PAC Ad, Kitten Accusation (VIDEO)

Nancy Pelosi stirred up a hornet's nest named "Colbert Nation" when she released an ad attacking Colbert for raising unlimited funds through his Super PAC. But she really crossed a line when she accused the host of not liking kittens.

Colbert addressed the controversy on Tuesday, proving once and for all that he does, indeed, love kittens

He also poured a little salt in Pelosi's wound by welcoming President Barack Obama -- who despite much saber-rattling against them now has a Super PAC backing his campaign -- over to the "green" side.

As of Wednesday, Pelosi's "Stop Colbert" Facebook page had 5,585 likes, while @ColbertSuperPac had 8,011 followers on Twitter.

It remains to be seen who will win the overall war, but our money is on money.

Pelosi remains a joke, and every mention of her name provokes laughter. She should be among the FIRST incumbents to be voted out of a lifetime on the dole! She is clueless about so many things that it is ludicrous she's even (still) talking about others. How fitting she responds to a comedy show; the only thing she's lacking is a horn to "HONK HONK" when she disagrees and a clown nose.

I'm noticing Nancy Pelosi is popping up all over the place on TV. She's likely trying to shore up her "image" in order to keep the Speakership if the Dems win. I would feel much better about a democratic congress IF she wasn't speaker. But in the whole I'd like a demo congress over a republican one any day or at least the present incarnation of the Republican party. I sure hope they sideline her though. I'd even bet Pres Obama wouldn't cry over her losing speakership... We need the middle in charge not either extreme imho. I'd vote demo for every candidate that would simply say he wouldn't support her for speaker.

She may not be the most forceful TV presence, but she's a skilled and adept legislative leader. Her accomplishments are far more than Harry Reid's, and he's been a Majority Leader for longer.

What is amusing is the number of people who see satire in passing or glance at a blog comment and then take it as news and believe it.

This is satire, and yes, funny. But people have learned more about the inner working and machinations of superPACs watching Colbert than they have watching the news media, who have been woefully silent. It is they who should be educating us about the corruption in today's politics, not the Comedy Channel. And WE should be instructing the first graders.
