Georgia Spa Shooting: 5 Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Suburban Atlanta

NORCROSS, Ga. — Authorities say five people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide at a suburban Atlanta spa.

Norcross police spokesman Capt. Brian Harr said Tuesday evening officers found the bodies after responding to a call of a person shot Tuesday night at the Su Jung Health Sauna.

Harr said a preliminary investigation indicates the person who did the shooting was among the dead. He was unable to release the identification of the dead and did not immediately know the relationships between the person who did the shooting and the victims.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation did not immediately return phone messages for comment Tuesday night.

Guys,

What would you do if you were in that spa, in one of the rooms and heard the shooting ?????!!!!!!! I couldn't stop thinking about that the moment I read the " the full detailed" article. I wouldn't move from my place. Either he will kill himself afterwards, then I have to wait to be safe. Or he will run after he kills whoever comes in his face, then I should wait, but then the last propability, he will search every room and kill everbody there, then how would moving help. I am ganna die anyway. Now I am scared !!!

I KNOW! I KNOW! This isn't meant to be a story! HP wants us to play a game. They give us a little bit of information and then we and our imaginations fill in the gaps with speculation. THAT's why a story of a mass murder is ONLY four paragraphs long! What fun!

The mental status that a person reaches before deciding to kill him or herself is very complex and the mind won't be functioning as normal, so for such cases to be combined with killing others is not strange. Mental illness or drugs are common causes in such cases. It doesn't make sense otherwise for a father to kill his 2 or 4 years old son and then kill himself.

what do you make of the people who are scorned lovers? wife/hus left them and they kill everyone? what about the guy who lost his job? is it also mental illness? i'm reluctant to use that as an explanation because i believe so many criminals hide behind mental illness as an excuse to get off because they know that most people will be more compassionate if they think the perp is mentally ill.

then again, one could argue that anyone who takes another person's life under less than extreme duress is mentally ill. i consider myself a pretty stable person and i couldn't imagine in a million years killing someone unless my parents or my kids were in danger.

NORCROSS, Ga. - Police were interviewing witnesses at a spa outside Atlanta where a gunman opened fire, killing five people in what authorities described as a murder-suicide.

Surveillance video shows a man walking into the spa and getting into an argument with someone, then opening fire, police said.

"It appears he walked in, had some conversation with one of the victims and the shooting started," Norcross Police Chief Warren Summers told Atlanta television station WAGA.

Four people were found dead inside, and another was taken to a hospital before being pronounced dead, Norcross police Capt. Brian Harr told the Gwinnett Daily Post. Police described the dead as three men and two women.

Investigators say they believe about 20 people were inside when the shooting began around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Su Jung Health Sauna in Norcross.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is working with local police on the case.

if you read the whole thing to the bottom you would see that they are using this media outlet to ask for tips and info. they are admitting they dont have much yet

The guns dont kill anyone its the peoples.If you lay a gun on a table that gun will not kill anyone .Someone will have to pick it up befor it can kill.When someone want to kill somebody they will alway fine a way to do it.

...and what if someone wants to go to school? Can they learn punctuation, spelling and grammer? Here's a translation of what mstevens091241 was trying to say.
The guns don't kill anyone, it's the people. If you lay a gun on a table, that gun will not kill anyone. Someone would have to pick it up before it can kill. When someone wants to kill somebody they will always find a way to do it.
Maybe you should spend more time in English class and less time learning the workings of a gun.

I drive by there fairly often...I don't think it is a Spa (like a massage parlor) but don't know that for sure. Lousy reporting of the story...no details whatsoever. Wish if someone wanted to kill themselves they would seek help or at least not try to take others with them

It is a legit health spa, for men and women. It had some decent reviews on Yelp, but I found a foot spa that was closer to the house.

Why all the negative comments on here about "Spa's" ?? Have any of you actually been to a Spa?? I have, and its a great, relaxing experience ! You seem to be confusing "Spa's" with "massage Parlors", and there is NO comparison !!!
